 There's quite a queue forming!

Am I right in thinking that it will be easy to transfer everything over from my xl using deKay's guide? If so what sort of memory card do I need? I presume it doesn't come with one as it isn't listed with the rest of the contents

It'll be really hard. Not worth the effort, you've made a terrible mistake and I think you should just forget it and sell the machine on.

but if you decide to struggle on anyway then...

It'll be quite easy, dekay's guide is very handy. You need a micro SD card (I think) so it should be pretty cheap to get.

Don't worry dekay, nothing for me either. Man, I must really have pissed of Nintendo somehow. I knew I shouldn't have bought all those games nor their manky console (which I love)!

Same here..original Ambassador and had a Club Nintendo account for years but still nothing. I would really love to know their criteria for sending them out....it does seem random.

Purchased a New 3DS from AUS last year, and love it.

Still wondered why I didn't get an email though. Logged in the other day and checked the 'promotional' email checkboxes on account — and just now received an email saying I am eligible for an Ambassador edition.

Problem is — it wont let me login!? :/

I'm starting to think Nintendo's new strategy is just to manufacture the illusion of scarcity for every damn thing they make. I wasn't even thinking of getting one of these and I've just shelled out £180 on a whim. See also the folks going mental buying amiibos as soon as they're spotted in the wild, not to mention everyone buying up Wii U games before they disappear forever.

They've obviously decided that if they're going to have a smaller customer base, they are going to take those customers for every last penny they can. And here we are, bending over with our trousers round our ankles and begging for it!

Still, if it means Nintendo survives for another generation... *unbuckles belt*

I've got the email but I'm a bit out of sorts with the 3DS scene. Is there anything coming out apart from Zelda Majora's Mask in the next 12 months that would make this purchase worthwhile? I haven't touched my 3DSXL in months.

Xenoblade Chronicles.

We're due a Nintendo Direct soon anyway cos none of the 2015 titles have been detailed.

They've ported most of the Gamecube titles already, not much left besides Doshin the Giant. ;)

Wii U still has a few GC updates to be had, though!

Here's hoping for a Prime Trilogy port. Sonic Heroes can stay dead.

It amazing how much faster the menu system is. Everything appears almost instantly, using the eShop is a lot easier and the games seem to loading quicker as well. I just wish they'd kept the wifi button, I cannot find an easy way to turn it off now.

Yes it works the same as a normal 3DS to 3DS transfer.

I'd recommend moving the contents of your current 3DS SD card (if it is a standard SD card) to a Micro SD in a standard SD card adapter on your current system before you do. It makes the whole system transfer a lot easier.
