GOT ONE!!!!!!

My E-Mail to Nintendo paid off, just clicked through to the order page and I was able to buy one, best go pay for it while I remember :)

Glad for you mate!

Felt bad that I had the email but can't afford it, glad to see you and others who really wanted one being able to get one

There have been loads of ltd edition handhelds from Nintendo!

Think Keyboard Koala was referring to the way we can "win" these ltd editions. :)

Sony did a competition recently where you "won" the chance to spend £400 on a ltd edition PS1 themed PS4. Now Nintendo are randomly(?) selecting people and offering them the opprotunity to spend £180 on a ltd edition console.

Opened mine up tonight, was a bit disappointed to find the box was all torn on the inside :( Both the box that held the charger cradle and the box that everything sits in. Makes me feel as though I have second hand goods rather than a brand new limited edition console on my hands. Karma for being mean to deKay.

This is probably going to sound daft but what annoys me the most is Nintendo specifically targeting this 'offer' using the moniker 'Ambassador'.

I was one of the chumps, along with many others here, who paid full whack for the original 3ds. And then had to put up with the delays etc which led to us being appeased by being given free games.

Therefore I kinda feel like if they're are going to project this as some kind of reward for loyalty then I'd of expected to be in on it? Especially given the name. Just my 2 pence.

I said much the same thing to Corleth. He got an e-mail. I didn't. We both went to the midnight launch of the 3DS and bought them together, they were registered within minutes of each other and between us we got all of the launch titles. We both got the Ambassador status and I would have thought that this 'Ambassador' offer would have gone to people with Ambassador status of the original 3DS.

It just seems completely random and cheapens the original Ambassador gesture.

I've got the email but I'm a bit out of sorts with the 3DS scene. Is there anything coming out apart from Zelda Majora's Mask in the next 12 months that would make this purchase worthwhile? I haven't touched my 3DSXL in months.

As you might expect with my famed appreciation for Nintendo and their games - particularly the Mario and Zelda series - it should come as no surprise that Nintendo have just sent me an invite for the Ambassador Edition. Sorry deKay, jonnyalpha: you clearly just don't love them enough.
