Ordered. I was going to get another XL version but this was too tempting for me, all the surveys I've filled out for Nintendo means they probably know I'm sucker for their limited edition tat no matter how poorly designed the limited edition covers are.

Yeah. It's the chance to get it early I suppose? Be some of the first people in the UK to use Miiverse while on Smash Bros!

Had the email this morning but have been unable to sign into my Nintendo account... :(

I've got the email too and I too cannot sign into my account. All a bit weird, if I request a password reset then I get an email saying my email address isn't recognised....I'm stuck in an odd loop. Gonna phone them tomorrow.

You don't have a Nintendo Store account. It's separate from your NNID and Club Nintendo accounts.

Hmm, ok I created a store account, it logged me in, I clicked the ambassador email and it doesn't recognise my store account.

Back to square one.

The email link sends you to the store, but you need to log in again with your Club Nintendo account.

Bemused by people getting upset at not getting offered this.

Just go to 365games (as has been possible for a couple of months) and buy the Aussie import white n3DS for £20 less than this costs and has the white faceplates (which look better than these). Use the extra dosh to buy some games.

The 3D is amazing on the n3DS by the way - properly solid. Won't ever play in 2D.

It's obvious that it's not so much about the console itself, but being passed over when you're spending a shitload of money on Nintendo stuff. A similar thing happened back at the Xbone launch, when Microsoft started sending out codes for things like Killer Instinct. Except they were sending them to folk who didn't even have a console. It's bound to rub people up the wrong way.

Bought the Mrs a 3DS for Xmas with Pokemon, told her "I'll register your console for you dear", registered it, got my free code for Zelda and downloaded onto my XL.......sneaky. I wouldn't say it was the only reason I chose to buy her a 3DS but it certainly helped my decision ;)

Yet to play it but glad people are saying it's good.
