Ok so I was (and probably still am!) quite tempted but I didn't realise that it was £20 over the RRP (apparently set at £159?).

There is no RRP, so it isn't £20 over and isn't set at £159.

Haha, that is quite smart of them actually. They already know they can get an extra twenty quid out of a good proportion of the early adopters and they know exactly who they are. Perfect targeted marketing.

Yeah you're right. I hadn't seen that there was either and just pinched that figure (thinking I'd missed the announcement) from a post on B.D .

They have given a kind of break down of the bundle (and it's costs) a little further down the page......

Still rather tempted but have been umming and ahhing as to whether to go for a new std sized one or a new XL (of which I currently have a standard one).

Anyone here tried the new standard sized one and found it to be a happy medium between the old (and smaller 3ds) and the XLs??

You could probably eBay the Club Nintendo faceplates and get enough money for them to cover the price difference.

I went from an OG XL to a standard sized 3DS and I love it. Much more comfortable to hold and the smaller screen looks much nicer in my opinion.

It is a smart move indeed. I wouldn't have bought one at retail, but the potential r@re status of this makes it tempting.

The new 3DS is lovely. I went from an XL which I found to be too big to the New 3DS. Totally worth it.

The store is showing 'dispatched within 24 hours', so I picked next day delivery. Let's see how long it takes.

I'm quite excited, given that half an hour ago I didn't know I wanted one. I'll just blame it on having been ill for a few days.

After missing out on the 20th Anniversary PS4, it's like this was meant to be. I was planning to buy a white regular size New 3DS at launch anyway.
