I don't suppose Nintendo have announced an account system since I last checked? Or am I again in the situation where if I want the new 3DS I need to buy it and then keep my old one and transfer everything across, as well as needing to follow some insane process to replace the SD card with a bigger one?


Do the new ones still play original DS games?

Yes. (Incidentally the New 3DS models take Micro SD cards.)

That's what I did last time and my 3DS only recognises my SD card about half of the time. I tried two cards so I guess it's the DS, but it worked absolutely perfectly until I changed the SD card which pissed me off. Not at deKay obviously, that guide is awesome.

It's possible it doesn't work with all makes or types of card. I've had a few people contact me (there's some in the comments, I think) to say it didn't work for them, but tried with a different card and it did. I did it for a friend too and their (brand new never used) Sandisk 16GB card just couldn't be seen my the 3DS but could by a PC and a Mac. Sent it back as faulty, and a replacement that was identical (brand, spec, size) worked fine and over a year later is still fine.

Shhhhhhh, I'm trying to find one in the wanted folder :P

Cheapest I can find on Amazon is £15, but it was £7.99 on Game.Co.UK but they ran out before my order was placed :(

Been to town this morning, not a single copy to be found in Ipswich at all.

As of yet there is no mention of region locking SMD, but think someone ( smealum, the hack's creator) mentioned it "could " be possible.

Far as I am aware, the exploit is actually saved to the crtridge and Smea is hinting that it may not be blockable, we shall see though, the code is not released for a while, maybe the end of the week, will hopefully have one by then though.
