That is some bloody awful box art! (imo) Some of the bestest, joyful, most recognisable gaming icons and someone came up with that.. Sega, wtf! :facepalm:

Still good to see a retail release of some sort. Though I think they work really well as eshop titles tbh.

With Nintendos current strategy (they have one right?) I'm afraid that with Christmas coming up we'll get zip 3ds wise. Well, other than more Pokemen details and Smash sales figures. :(

It's a shame as I really feel the console could use some fresh news.

The Direct is all about upcoming games, so I'd have thought there'd be more than that?

Yeah you're right. It's just that I'm not that fussed with any that have been announced thus far. Steam maybe? Even that didn't grab me when when I saw it being played during one of the treehouse vids.

They won't announce any new titles though as I'd expect them to support the new 3ds. In which case doing so now, before Christmas, would be a massively daft thing to do.

Maybe Majoras Mask will support both consoles and therefore get a mention? They have to announce that title soon or else just stfu about it and say it's not coming.

Did anyone else order that £2:95 Fire Emblem from Rakuten/Play recently? I've just noticed that although they cancelled the order (it was clearly a mis-price), they've still charged me and the transaction is showing on my latest card statement.

So, if you ordered it take a look - they appear to have taken the money....

Will go to the bank to do a reversal, if their customer service don't refund it.

Thanks. I've been charged too. I never look at any statements, because I'm an idiot, so wouldn't have known.

This is literally the only criticism I've read about the box art. The artist (some legendary Game Freak artist / Sega fan extraordinaire) is bona fide cult hero.

The retail package includes the Sega Master System 3D sequels to Outrun and Space Harrier, which are a pair of pretty special extras in my book.

Also, to echo everyone else's feelings about this: cotdamn this is the greatest news. I can't wait to buy all the new ones.. To play the Hiroshi Iuchi-designed extra mode in Afterburner, the new modes in the Fantasy Zones (my favourite shooters made even greater).. The only arcade perfect version of Thunder Blade in existence with an extra (really well designed) level and true final boss.

I'm crazy for 80's Sega and M2 and everything about these titles. Wowee.
