Bloody Nintendo....

My little one wanted to try the tomadachi life demo so i went on the store to download it, i had to do the latest update but no worries as i could then put that cool halloween theme on!

Soooo i get the update and launch the store and it asks for the NNID details, i put in what i am sure they are but it says they are wrong so i think maybe i haven't ever set one up so i go through that process to find out when i try to link the NNID to club nintendo she obv does have one...

I think we can see where this is going..

I search everywhere to find out her old NNID but nothing will tell me, can't see it on her nintendo login or club nintendo page but eventually i find it on the wii u so i go to change it back on the 2ds.

Now, to do this i seemingly have to wipe the 2ds and start again :o WTF Nintendo, how did it lose the NNID in the first place and why can't i just log out of one and into the other - obv the new one has nothing on it and apparently now i will have to wipe and loose everything to put the original one back on :o

Can i somehow backup the saves etc to do this??

So i just wiped the card and put the original NNID back on.

The only digital purchase i made on it was SMB3 so i go to redownload it or her and its not in the list of previously downloaded suff FFS :(

Also, does anyone have a spare Halloween code thing as its single use and of course tied to the other NNID i made

Just loving my 3DS at the moment. Was thinking of getting a Vita again to cash in on my PS+ downloads, but I can't see myself playing it much. With Shin Megami Tensei, Weapon Shop, all the picross games, Tennis and Golf, Virtues last reward, Fire Emblem, etc etc etc I have hundreds of hours of gameplay to get through. Add in the fact I picked up Dragon Quest 9 for the DS for 6 quid today, and I can't see any other handheld getting a look in.

Think I'll look to get one of the new 3DS models once they are released here. I like my original machine, but the slightly bigger screen might be good. I look at my 2 sons XLs and mine looks a little small, but it's very portable.

I have to say I would like some more big 'western' type games being announced. Much as I try I'm just not that into Jap rpgs or stat/grind heavy stuff like MH, Smash either. I'm hoping Nintendo will announce some juicy new games to launch alongside the release of the new 3ds in Europe and the US. They've already admitted that's the (main?) reason they're not releasing here this year.

My most wanted would be a 2D pixel Metroid extravaganza but I fear we'll never see another. We're always being told it would sell poorly, which I find very strange. Just imagine if Nintendo granted Wayforward the one shot rights for a 3ds Metroid and they took it to KS. They would break $1 million with ease (probably a massive understatement) which would nicely fund a small team to create a solid title of probably a third the length of Super Metroid. Which I'd be totally happy with.

I'm with this 100%. 2D games work great on the 3DS and a new Metroid would surely sell tons. I'm a sucker for the Japanese niche releases, but I'd love a release like that. My boys (11 and 8) do not differentiate between 2D and 3D, they pick on the graphics. Make a cool looking 2D game and they are in.

Totally. :) I'd also like to reiterate the 'pixel' aspect too. Good 2D pixel art is exactly that, an art. It has a style all of its own which is enimently suitable to 2D genre gameplay. I won't blather on but suffice to say that polys simply can't convey the same style, clarity and simplicity. It's this aspect which is mostly the problem with Nintendos recent New Mario titles. They just appear souless next to good pixel art. I'm willing the bet that the new 2d mario on wiiu is indeed the equal of SMW gameplay wise. However it can't, imo, hold a candle to it in the style, charm, looks stakes. And that aspect is so so important, in platformers especially. Nintendo probably still (just about) have some of the finest proponants of 2D art yet they're failing to use nor understand such a resource. It's sad.

Hate to carry on the love in, but this plus 100%.

NEG hasn't walked more than 10,000 steps since the launch of the 3DS confirmed.

It still caps out at 10 each day, I just get scared and start using at 80-90 or so.

Smash has been stealing most of it, lately.

I like long walks on the beach.

edit: ...to Emerald Coast music.

I found the first few hours to be really difficult, but it does get easier when you start fusing demons and getting a nice stock!

I'm not sure at all if I should be concentrating on spreading my stat points evenly or focusing on a "build". Will I break the game if I do it evenly? At the moment I have been focusing a little bit more on magic and choosing magic spells to learn from my demons.
