I went back to Phoenix Wright: DD last night but found that I just couldn't be arsed with it. I liked the zany Japanese melodrama to begin with but it's starting to grate a lot, especially when you have to click through so many instances of people saying 'WHAAAAAAAAAAT' or 'ARGHHHHHHHHHHHH' or 'NOOOOOOOOOOO' to get to the actual gameplay. It's also irritating when you know exactly what the contradiction in someone's testimony is, but you have to point it out in the way the game wants you to. Playing yesterday I had three pieces of evidence which could conceivably be used to back up my objection to what someone was saying, but it was trial and error to choose the one that the game wanted me to use, resulting on me receiving two penalties from the twatty judge before I chose the 'right' piece of evidence.

I might still finish it for completion's sake, though. I've just started the astronaut case; am I near the end?

Has anyone else played the Conception II demo? Or the full game?

What the actual fuck? I have to chat up girls who I then mate with producing star children who I then take into dungeon battles?!

I think I had the wrong sort of mushrooms for dinner last night.

This sounds superb!!

It's been a good while since I switched on my 3DS but it's gonna get some loving (q literally!) tonight :).

I need a 3DS game with a good length to play during the summer. Something that is going to hold my interest for long periods and over several weeks. I'm currently thinking something along the lines of Bravely Default or possibly Etrian Odyssey. Any other suggestions?

Bravely Default will keep you entertained for about 15 hours and then you'll get fed up with it.

DQIX is a fiver at Argos at the moment. DS, not 3DS, but it's supposed to be good and lengthy. Ahem.

You could always play Fire Emblem again.

Theres Tales of the Abyss if that's your sort of thing. I played it on release and really liked it.

I didn't like it much, the main character is a complete twat for at least 15 hours and once he stops being that, he becomes a sniveling, whining Muppet.

Gave up on it after about 30 hours, really couldn't be dealing with the slog of it all.

  • 2 weeks later...

I think Streetpass Garden just killed my SD card. It crashed, I reloaded it, it said it couldn't read data, now my home screen is empty.

Shit.

I've a backup, but from a few months back. Only current game that'll affect will be Blackgate though and only an hour or so but still...

Yep, it's fucked. I can read data from the card, but can't write anything at all it seems. Backed it all up, but can't even repartition it. Oh well. Another is on the way.

Thank christ I've finished with Animal Crossing, is all I can say. I lost all my progress on the Wii game when my Wii exploded and have never recovered.
