Finished Fire emblem's lunatic mode last week. Lunatic+ you say? No thankyouu. One attempt and enemies have special attacks+ which means they activate first before you even attack. I wonder if anyone has completed that, because it wont be fun.

Also finished Etrian Odyssey 4,only to find out there are even more places to explore after beating the end boss, which is nice but was hoping to trade it in ! Great value if its your only game and youre a kid. I should imagine the new updated version of the first game for 3ds (Untold) will be packed with stuff for new players if you missed out on 4. Or if that stingy 3 plays demo put you off.

Has anyone tried replacing their batteries for something with more life? Are they easy to replace? Do they make a big difference?

Yes and yes.i'm not always keeping one eye on the battery life indicator, and it actually makes it into a portable machine.

Just had a sesh on Bravely Default using my new XL grip. It's great - very comfortable and stops me from getting that horrible hand cramp when playing lying down.

Bravely Default is also very good. Gets the balance just right between challenging and rewarding gameplay. I've just got the time mage and spell fencer asterisks, so looking forward to experimenting with them.

Had an email discussion with my brother about random stuff, starting talking about the 3DS and he seems to be complaining again that the 3DS has no games for it apart from the DS back catalogue. FFS, maybe it does't have the variety and quantity that the DS did in its first years, but it's hardly the Wii U.

I kind of share your brother's assessment: the 3DS this generation is to me what the PSP was last generation - it has a few gems (Phoenix Wright, Fire Emblem, the Sega 3D classics), but for the most part the games being released on the 3DS just leave me cold. It was worth the purchase for the games listed and the backwards compatibility, but it's still a little underwhelming.
