Nintendo 3DS

Including dual sticks now would be daft. I don't really see it happening, especially because the whole CPP thing didn't take off. In Nintendo's eyes there won't be a compelling reason. However, now Nintendo has finally embraced a real, proper, full grown second stick on the Wii U, it's likely the next handheld will also have it.

Doesn't the Circle Pad Pro give it extra triggers too? A DS with all that built in would be really unweildy. It's not like the CPP is expensive. Honestly when I get a 3DS I'm considering getting one just so I can see what they've done with MGS3.

Depends on your definition. It's an account system. You can transfer your games, and account to another device.

It's not the same as XBL or PSN, but that doesn't mean it isn't proper.

It might not be what you or I want from an account system, but that doesn't mean it isn't proper either.

Unless I'm wrong, only so long as the first device still functions, removing 90% of the reason I'd want to do that.

If I can't pick up any DS and type a username and password it isn't, to me, fit for purpose.

My mum got me one of those game ware 3ds starter packs today when she was out shopping and it is decent enough as I got a 3ds XL and needed a new hard case.

However when I was hoaking through all my DS stuff looking for my USB charging cable I came across a few games I bought for cheap from bargain bins.

Aragorns Quest I think I picked up for about £3 and to be honest, it's not that bad a game on the ds. Obviously it isn't going to set the world on fire but it plays well enough, has some very rpglite elements and as it only cost me a few quid seems to have been worth the punt.

Ninja Gaiden interesting control scheme that works reasonably well. Nice enough graphics and he same old rock hard play.

Really digging into Aragorns Quest. Is the Wii version much cop?

I'm ashamed to admit that I've only just put the time into Kirby's Adventure 3D [Classics version] since buying it on release back in November 2011 (did not realise it was that far back I must admit).

What a brilliant game. Just brilliant. Psyched for Triple Deluxe now :omg:

Well this is interesting:

3DS Hack Removes Region Locking For Retail Cartridges

Details have been posted over at gbatemp.net, with the process requiring a 3DS that hasn't been updated for a number of months — this means version 4.5 or before, due to system updates locking out so many flashcards. It requires the one time use of a DS flashcard — of which there are controversially so many — along with the usage and modification of a specific launcher; ironically, applying the back-end change to the launcher will mean it no longer runs DS ROMS, but rather only retail 3DS cartridges. It is then apparently possible to run 3DS retail games (only legitimate copies) from another region on any 3DS, essentially breaking the region lock. It's far from simple, however, as even though it's possible to update the 3DS firmware after the change has been made, playing titles such as Monster Hunter 4 online is reportedly out of bounds.
