Just got an XL for Christmas, good to know the eshop isn't always like this. ¬_¬

I managed to download Crimson Shroud and Attack of the Friday Monsters (haven't tried Attack yet but Crimson Shroud is really lovely) early afternoon-ish on Christmas. Haven't had much luck getting 3D Land though, I eventually (this morning) got the download onto the sleep queue, but it hasn't actually progressed past 0% yet.

Oh well. Fire Emblem is the best thing ever made, that'll keep me going.

So to add to my woes. Registered the 3dsxl. Then thought "ahh I'll register Pokemon and get my free mario". The pin code was under a sticker. Peeled it off and riiiiiiip half of it ripped the top

Surface of the paper off and it's completely unreadable. Emailed a pic to nintendo to see if I can get a replacement but not holding out much hope.

I know its Christmas but this is taking the piss really, its not like some of the service is down its the whole bloody store that you can't get to - we have games we want to buy via the store and we can't.

It's not just bloody demand either as i was trying at nearly 2am this morning when i came home from work and it was still down, 5 different devices and one of them i cant even finish the registration so each time you have to go through it all until it errors at the last stage.

Something happened as i initially got 3d land downloaded on xmas morning, moved onto the other new one and thats been it now for 24 hours - fuck off is it just demand its just broken :(

Yeah I've been trying on and off to be able to buy Attack of the Friday Monsters and Streets of Rage 3D but even if I get to the game page it'll fail and I have to start all over again to be able to get back to the game. Such a shame on Christmas, not the sort of publicity they'll want.

Is there some mario game that's being given away free today for people who've registered on miiverse? Or some offers available? I seem to remember something being annoucned recently but I can't get onto the eshop either to check it out! :facepalm::(

Mario Bros Deluxe, but you need to wait till February, plenty of time for them to get the eShop back online ;)

I'm impressed you managed that much!

I'm on a Japanese 3DS and I've been trying to access the store since about 3pm yesterday to buy Zelda (which came out in Japan at midnight on the 26th, so I was hoping to play it on Christmas day) and out of the five or six times I've managed to actually get in the store, it's given me an error every time I've tried to buy. Miiverse seems flakey but usable, weirdly.

Funnily enough I've only just gotten round to playing Fire Emblem too. It's a cracker, isn't it! Despite my love of Disgaea, FFT and more recently XCOM, I can't believe I've never played one before. I do wish Advance Wars was on the virtual console though...

Yeah I'm loving Fire Emblem. I'd actually picked up a few games in preparation for getting the XL at Christmas. Luigi's Mansion, Kid Icarus, Shadow Wars and Virtue's Last Reward (loved 999). I was surprised to find out that Shin Megami Tensei 4 hasn't actually been released in Europe yet, and there's no date been set for it either. I was really looking forward to that one.

It let me add money to my account (or system, I guess. There doesn't actually seem to be any accounts, which is a bit odd. Do I lose everything if I lose my system?) then decided it had what it needed from me and booted me out.

I had same issue across 4 machines, 2 brand new and 2 that have had for ages and were linked first day they could be - also couldn't get on wii u either so not buying that - it was goosed all round.

Woo! Black 3ds xl purchased today along with Zelda. Finally feel Christmassy now settling in with a new hyrule adventure! Only spent an hour or two with it but feels utterly glorious. Now to try and resist the temptation to order every Rpg I want off amazon....

Edit: okay bravely default ordered and downloaded steam world dig. What are the other e shop gems worth getting?
