That Jet Rocket II video on thee eShop actually makes the game look pretty good... Is it?

I had £30 eShop credit sitting there, so I took a punt. It's alright, only played the first 2 levels but it seems like there's going to be a decent level of challenge in it. Quite old-school, though, enemy placement can be a tad frustrating.

one idea I'm really warming to despite hating on consoles is that of digital download games. For certain games it fits the bill perfectly, not having to physically switch cartridges for a quick 10 min play of Mario Land or to check your town in Animal Crossing. One omission that is glaring is Nintendogs, perfect for short bursts of play, and whilst the Art Academy one is available from game its £15 more than the boxed one frm Amazon (the others are the same price)

Yeah I just wish Nintendo would lower it's retail games sometimes or have sales (US eshop here). The only one I remember them doing is Zelda OOT 3D for half off during the Zelda Anniversary thing last year. Other than that everything else is full RRP including old stuff like Pilotwings Resort. Also yeah Art Academy has never been on sale despite being perfect for digital. They really need to look at what Steam is doing because otherwise impulse buys are much harder.

Capcom on the other hand have had some great sales and discounts with Monster Hunter, Street-fighter, RE:R and RE:M for decent prices.

Hurray, Picross E3 has an option so you're not asked about the hint roulette every single puzzle. I think I'll hold off on Mega Picross for now though.

I've been looking for Picross E3 on the 3DS e-shop and I just can't find it. Is it not out in the UK yet or something? Or am I just being a bit dim? (Wouldn't be the first time.)

Now that I've finished Dual Destinies, time to get a new game. I have Kid Icarus too but that's not gelling with me, one for occasional play. My choices are:

Super Mario Land

Animal Crossing

Zelda

Pokemon

which one shall I get? Maybe Pokemon, I don't want to fall too behind so that no-one will be playing it when I finally build a strong enough team to do battle.

Pokemon will never die out, I reckon. Super Mario 3D Land is boss. Animal Crossing is casual crack. Obviously no one's played Zelda yet but if you're a fan of A Link to the Past (if not, why the hell not) then it ought to be worth getting.

Zelda, Mario, Pokemon, Animal Crossing in that order I reckon. Only because Mario is awesome but you'll get it out of the way quicker than Pokemon or AC.

Bacon, give KI another shot. I had a very long pause between 50% and then finishing it over the course of a week. Play it on Easy, but it's worth finishing. It gets so epic towards the end.

Also, SMD has them in the right order. AC got boring very quickly for me.

If you haven't tried it, get Monster Hunter. Definitely my GOTY.
