Wii U nearly 8 years old now. 
 

The first console I preordered and bought on launch day. 
 

Played mass effect three on the gameplay and was blown away. 
 

such a shame it didn’t live up to its potential.

I was just thinking about the Wii U. I bought quite a few games for it but beyond Super Mario 3D World and Captain Toad’s Treasure Tracker I barely played them. 
 

Quite a few are on Switch now.

Windwaker

Twilight Princess

Kirby and the Rainbow Paintbrush

Yoshis Woolley World 

 

I feel it’s almost worth hooking up to play the Zelda titles.

Mario Maker is better on WiiU than the switch sequel.

The virtual console, specifically the GBA games.

I still have the Wii U set up in the living room alongside the PS4. We play Boom Street on it once a week and I'll have the occasional go on F-Zero X.

I did buy the Metroid Prime Trilogy and Super Mario Galaxy 2  on it.

They are extracting all the old games on them so they can resell them all to switch users in five years

I wanted to buy legend of hero tonma on the virtual console. Booted the Wii U up to find its no longer available

I dug mine out of the loft as I wanted to okay Twilight Princess and Shovel Knight only to find I've got Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 and Metroid Prime Trilogy on there. Might get rid of Mario 3D All Stars now.

It had better not! Why are they doing an update? The PS3 has had a couple too in the last few years.

Probably due to the online network winding down. I know SMM support ends on the 31st.

Yes. It works with no internet connection so no reason it shouldn't.

Obviously you won't be able to download levels without the service.
