Ids wonderful 101 amazing? Iv seen it in lots of top ten list, I thought the demo was shite but Iv ordered the full game as platinum have never let me down.

Secondly is it still worth buying monster hunter? Is it fairly active?

If you like platinum stuff then you will shit your pants at its greatness. Balls to the wall awesome.

Toad, 3D Land (which also looks great), Smash Bros (give it a go), Mario Kart and... thats about it really.

If you ignore all the other really good titles that are out, yeah I guess. I'm talking about genuinely terrific exclusive stuff like Bayonetta 2, Wonderful 101, Hyrule Warriors, Lego City, Nintendoland.

Even the mainstream media, which have rightly or wrongly been after the Wii U since day 1, have had to concede that the platform does now host a solid library of games.

The WiiU spokesman appears. I'm talking about stuff I'm interested in, surely that's obvious.

And surely noone would deny the parlous state of third party support.

I think that's a good list by the way but whilst it's high quality it's so very Mario focused.

3 titles out of 9. If anything is 'focused', it appears to be you on making arbitrary excuses.

The WiiU spokesman appears.

Oh for crying out loud - YAWN.

The Wii U spokesman thing is unfair. The console now has an undeniably strong host of unique first party software - far stronger in fact than Sony or MS do right now. You'd only care about third party stuff if you owned zero other consoles including a 360/PS3. It's a false argument people bring up because deep down no one gives a shit about third party games when they would just be ports of 360 games with off screen play.

How is he supposed to know that you're not going to be interested in those other games? And why do you feel the need to resort to petty name calling? Why come into the thread asking questions and then insult someone when they answer? Nobody who owns a Wii u denies the fact third party support is non existent, but most of them also don't care, because that's not what you buy a Wii u for.

But I do care. Am I not allowed to say that in case it annoys overly precious WiiU owners?

Did you read my previous posts just now at all saying that I thought there's good quality in the core titles?

The Wii U spokesman thing is unfair.

Is this a joke? That's Rgraves to a tee. Look at his passive aggressive posts and consistent PR line.

Man alive, I was just voicing some fairly innocuous thoughts. But you can't do that in here without Rgraves appearing like the ghost at the feast.

The quality of the core titles is irrelevant to the point I'm addressing, which is you saying that there is no third party support. We know this. Everyone knows this. This is not new information. Is it a shame? Yes, of course. It's a damn shame and I wish it wasn't so, but we are where we are. My point is that anyone who wants those third party games doesn't buy a Wii u. You buy a Wii u because you want to play Nintendo games; it's the perfect companion console to an Xbox or ps4. There is nothing precious about it; that's just the way is.

I'm saying if he used to be the guy who says "the Wii U is great!" when it wasn't and now he still says the "Wii U is great!" when it is and everyone else is saying it too, calling him a spokesman now is a little unfair yeah.

Smitty why did you feel the need to say that at all. If you want a WiiU then buy one, you know there's no third party games for it. but you also know that what games there are, many of them are an utter joy to play.

Before I get called out for licking Miyamoto's hoop, I own or have access to all current gen systems.

If you want Third Party support don't buy a WiiU its that simple... If you do want to have the pleasure of enjoying an already extensive back catalogue of quality Nintendo games then get one.

Seriously the amount of game time on offer should mean you don't have to worry about future releases for the entirety of 2015.

Oh and get ZombiU as well, it's still one of my system highlights.

This sort of post is exactly what I mean. Instead of treating me like someone just mulling it all over you treat me like an attacking soldier from the enemy army.

In the above you write as if I've launched some enormous screed and insulted all Nintendo fans of something. You do realise that I'm just quietly discussing my personal tastes?

I mean, why would I make up 'arbitrary excuses'? What does that mean? It just demonstrates your mindset - hostile and on the lookout for any criticism. And yet I didn't come in here to attack the platform, I came in to talk the positives for the main part.

I don't have to come here in and pledge my loyalty to the platform just because to do otherwise would upset an aggressive WiiU fanatic.

Yes only 3 titles are Mario. But I guess I'm thinking Mario like stuff - platformers, cutesy stuff. It's all of a certain flavour. Some of which is great. But I was talking about the desire for variety outside of that.

By the way Bayo is also high quality but not for me at all, which is something I've written about.

Just go away, Smitty, before you stink up another thread.

Dude, just stop it. I am not doing this with you. I've told you recently to drop the attitude.

I don't know what you think is happening here, but I came in with no ill intentions. Please don't make a huge fuss over nothing.

I don't think it annoys anyone, but given the tone of the thread lately, I doubt anyone's interested in discussing something that is a) known and b) won't change.

I went directly on to talk about what IS coming out, what's coming up,hoping there's a good mix even amongst a limited schedule.

What I think is happening is you saying there is 'so little to buy' on the console apart from Toad, 3D World, Smash Bros and Mario Kart, rgraves saying 'yes, if you ignore the fact there are these other awesome games' and then you getting shitty, calling him the Wii u spokesperson and then randomly bringing up the lack of third party stuff. You may not have had ill intentions, but your apparent lack of self awareness and aggressive attitude have a habit of fouling up threads in pointless back and forths where at the end you claim total innocence and demand everyone leave you alone.

I can see where this is going. I've seen it in countless other threads. So I'm asking you to leave it alone. You've had the answers to the questions you asked.

Dude, for the second time, this is not a "thing". I'm telling you that you're wrong. Just chill out.

Guys this feels really horrible. I am confused given what I've written.

Re your first line I was talking about what I was personally interested in. Why is that so hard for you to understand and so threatening? You can go in the Xbox thread and say what games you're interested in?

You do realise that I am actually interested in this console now? That was the very first thing I said. What's going on here?

Except I'm not wrong, because the thing I just said would happen is happening.

And you didn't say those were the only games you were interested in, you said there was so little available, listed those games and said there was nothing else, which isn't true, there are lots of games which a couple of people, including rgraves, pointed out to you, on the assumption as you may not have known of their existence (case in point: tropical freeze). If you'd have put 'so little available that I am interested in', it would have been clear that was what you meant but you didn't, so it wasn't.
