Nintendo Wii U

I gave it a good try on the GC, but nobody I tried to play it with liked it. It's too chaotic, and not in a good way.

I've owned the first three SSB games, all bought soon after PAL release. Never liked any of them; all very unsatisfactory to play, with completely incoherent gameplay. They all came out when there was little else new to play on their respective formats. I played until I unlocked as many hidden characters as I could, then never played them again even once. The original SSB on the Nintendo 64 is the only one I've played in multiplayer mode, as back then all my friends still played games.

I'm almost certainly going to get SSB for Wii U very soon.

I downloaded the demo for Pikmin 3 today and I love it. Haven't played a Pikmin game before.

It's out of stock pretty much everywhere, though, or £39.99 where it is in stock. :(

Went back to Pushmo as well. Love that game.

I've got a Wii U Controller Pro coming from Nippon Yasan and once that comes I'll get into Bayonetta 2. Though that and Bayo 1 look so nice together I don't want to take them out of the cellophane.

Well, I bought Smash Bros earlier and I have no idea what's going on. Are there any good beginners guides on the internet for how to be less rubbish at this game? :)

My advice would be to do the events first. Each one is a unique challenge with slightly different requisites, which also force characters on you that you might not normally select.

It's surprising just how bloody stressfull Pikmin 3 is.. each is just not quite long enough, so it really encourages you to plan and split up. Maybe because I'm rubbish, but I was really starting to run out of food as well.

But there's nothing worse than fucking up with some bombs and watching about 50 pikmin all go up in smoke... so sad.

Anyone who has a WiiU needs this game, especially with the post release improvements they've made to it. There's also a great wee Christmas DLC level.

Both. You get some levels for free and others are paid for. They're well worth it, the DLC is consistently excellent.

I need to revisit this I think, I've not tried the touch screen controls. Played it through with a Wiimote originally and tbh it worked perfectly.
