The adventure mode is completely new and completely wonderful for a start - it just keeps you playing and playing as you unlock more and more stuff. It's hypnotic.

I think that's what does it for me. The moment-to-moment gameplay of Hyrule Warriors is nothing special (it's satisfying as far as it goes but not particularly deep or complex) but the meta-game involving levelling up, unlocking weapons, using those weapons to unlock more weapons, opening up squares in Adventure mode, collecting skulltulas in Legend mode and so on is absolutely compulsive. Even if your aim is only to unlock all the characters and movesets you've got dozens of hours of play in there. It's genius game design.

Fuck, so it's about 3/4 of a Monster Hunter? Must. Get.

The Wii U eshop is hard work to navigate. I've no idea how to find games like Ittle Dew and Unepic without actually typing their names into search. Seems like they only have the single indie game category, everything else is just lost somewhere. You can't even just show all games to browse through them as far as I can tell.

Make sure you haven't got parental controls on.

Yes, this - and it's any parental controls for any Wii U user account.

I went into the Wii shop awhile back and about 70% of it had vanished. Turns out it was because my daughter's account on the Wii U has parental controls on!

Captain Toad is great :)

Don't want to go on about it too much since it's not out over there and I don't want to be that guy, but I just want to say that I didn't think too much of the Captain Toad stages in 3D world(my favourite game of last year), they were a bit bland.

The new game is on a different level from the 3D world stages though, it's brimming with charm and that good old Nintendo magic.

I will say the stages have been pretty easy so far (I've done about 20-something so far) I expect that to change as I get further in though. Also I haven't done the extra challenge for a lot of the levels, so I can tell there will be good replayability.

Thanks, that explains a lot. I (temporarily) turned off the kids' parental controls and the Zelda games are back :)

No way am I buying any of those amibo things. Except Link of course. The dont do Yoshi or Samus ones do they? If they did I might get those. And Zelda. I don't think there are any plans to being out a diddy Kong one. Thank goodness for that. Just the 4 for me then!
