Nintendo Wii U

Because Hyrule Warriors impressed me so much I am thinking of getting Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper, just wondering if the game is still broke? The reviews say it is a really bad port job, has it been patched at all since release?
I know there is now a PS4/XBone version (which kind of makes the wii u one redundant) but I'm still interested in the wii u version (cos I don't own a PS4 or Xbone).

There has been maybe 2/3 patches and its a lot better than the reviews now:

- Slowdown has gone

- Lower draw distance than ps3/360 is still there

So performance has improved but still has a lower draw distance than the other versions.

Sorry to hear that, pal. :( This is a bad place for things to break down because finding help is near impossible. You have no choice but to go DIY.

Yeah, I'll either get a DIY DVD drive and fit it myself, or I'll see what one of the shops can offer. Funzsquare says they do Wii U repairs.

So you can still get trampled by horses you never saw coming? Because that is the kind of stuff I have read elsewhere.

I haven't played it as much as I should @_@; have seen horses - but that was well after patching it - a better draw distance will help it out i guess, but really cannot comment. I was the same as you - a lot of reviews and even youtube where pre-patch stuff. But it does actually play really well - but the draw distance of the chars...

Hopefully someone else will provide you detailed feedback.

have many here upgraded the battery pack? these days I'd rarely get a gaming session that lasted longer than 3hrs so not sure if the need to upgrade, if I do decide to is it recommends to stick to an official high capacity replacement or are there any third party ones that can be recommended?

I've done mine - with the official one. I've certainly noticed the difference and I'd do it again without question - I've not had the battery run out on me while playing since installing it whereas it had done a few times before (obv YIMMV).

What the hell is up with that Sonic game?? Are they actually taking the piss? It's like they don't even care anymore.

Sonic Team didn't make this, some 3rd party studio made up of ex-Naughty Dog staff did, they are probably ex-naughty dog for a good reason. I bet it was whoever made Jak X.
