Nintendo Wii U

I was all hyped to download the demo when I got home till I remembered the wii u is boxed up, ready to go back to Nintendo as the wifi just doesn't seem to want to connect. I might give it one more go though, see if ring unploughed for a few days helped.

On a side note, if I did a factory reset and relogged in with my NNID would I be able to download all my purchases?

Well, I can't say it wasn't fun for a bit. Just as incomprehensible as W101, though. I thought I knew what I was doing until

the dragon turned up and I grew wings

at which point the evade thing no longer seemed to work and I was repeatedly eaten.

Love the classic 90s arcade feel to the music.

Evade still works on the boss, the timing is just a bit different on his attacks.

That said, it did remind me of one of the things I didn't like about the original Bayonetta - the noise levels are just through the roof, which I realise is part of the appeal, but for me just distracts from playing the game (particularly in the case of that boss, where the massive screen-filling enemy combined with the sudden lack of clear control over your positioning just distracts me massively). I enjoyed it, and I'll buy it when it comes out (with Bayo 1, to give it another playthrough), but it's still a little way from my preferred approach for a brawler.

I switch everything off at the wall, but switch the gamepad on at the wall as soon as the Wii U goes on.

You people who don't switch plugs off at the wall are the abnormal ones. I bet you leave all your phone chargers plugged in and and switched on too.

I take it one step further, i leave lights on ALL NIGHT :o

With a scarcely interesting football game on TV, tonight seemed to be the perfect night to catch up on some Super Mario 3D World, or so I thought...

MY GAMEPAD BATTERY JUST DIED! NOOOOOOO!!!

Can't you just take the cable out of the cradle and plug it in the gamepad. Play n charge, like. Edited by siread

Its not so much a change as looking for a different attack pattern or signs of attack. That's how I'd describe it. I was surprised how good it looked, played and sounded to be honest. I wasnt expecting this much, and it runs so well!

Played the Bayonetta 2 demo, it seems like just a mindless, repetitive, disorientating, button-masher with some (very) good graphics. Not my thing at all. Still, the demo's saved me wasting thirty quid on a game which I have zero chance of enjoying, so it has served its purpose at least.

You should sell off your Wii U to someone who can at least appreciate games. You seem to have no hope in that.

I think it's the 'button-masher' part that has caused a few gasps. I'd be very surprised if B2 fits that description.

Like I said, you can play it like that if you want, there's enough combos for you to be able to hit stuff whatever you try (and the tutorial does try show that and tell you to give some a go). Anyway, I negged the comment when it was considerably more scathing pre-edit, if it's not what someone enjoys playing then that's fair enough.

You totally can't, bayonetta is a difficult game. It's hardly "mindless".

I wasn't agreeing that it was mindless, but it's a game with multiple difficulty levels and you can totally play through it without learning any of the intricacies if you don't want to. If you can learn to dodge and don't care whether you get stone or pure platinum medals, you can happily play the game.
