Out of curiosity, are you running the famicom through the same TV/in the same TV mode? It could just be the input lag of the gamepad, but it could also be compounded by your TV's response rate.

(if you're playing entirely on the gamepad then, yeah, I'd anticipate noticeable lag for sure. Wouldn't want to play a shmup on it!)

The lag on the gamepad is lower than most HDTVs, apparently.

So I'd *rather* play a shoot 'em up on it than the TV!

I've had an idea for what they might do with Amiibos to make them more useful. Nintendo Land 2. It could be a free automatic downward like Sports Club, and Amiibos could unlock the games. It would be a cool bonus on top of whatever they do in specific games, and if the base software was free it would avoid criticism over having to buy figures to unlock content you've already paid for.

So Wonderful 101 and Hyrule Warriors arrived, I set 101 up to do its update and wandered off to wash the dishes... only managed to break a glass in the bowl and slice down the side of my thumb and a finger. Blood everywhere and now its wrapped up in bandage and plasters. But I can't hold the Gamepad! Gahhh! Been looking forward to playing them all damn day :(

I gave it a go but was impossible :(

I can completely sympathise - I was once drunkenly slicing fruit in mid air with ultra sharp knifes, hit my thumb and severed my tendon. For a while afterwards, I was relegated to games that were easy to play with one hand. I played a lot of FFTA on the GBA Player. Whilst getting physio, I was told that playing games was good for helping my thumb recover... so, you'll then have plenty excuse to play games.
