The cats ate the lead for my pad, seeing as Nintendo don't want to sell me a new one i got a USB callable, £2 of amazon - not sure if it is longer to charge or not tbh!

Usb or not, just get it bought!

If you've purchased the Basic bundle, you should make sure you also get a charging cradle - keeps the gamepad handy and charged. I'd not be without one.

It doesn't come as standard, and it makes a massive difference. If I'm having a gaming day, I used to have to stop and put the GamePad on charge. Rarely happens now.

Weirdly I have become somewhat addicted to trying to get everything on 3D world. I have to find all the stars and stamps and hit the goal poles. I have to. It reveals just how well thought out the levels are.

Maybe one day I'll do the same on NSMBU but I doubt it.

Oh and digital foundry say that the WiiU version of Bayonetta is better than the 360 version. Nice to see a developer deliver a quality port to the WiiU and it being essentially a free one as well. Hooray.

My US console came with one of those USB>mains things, so I can detach the cable and charge from any USB socket. A good job too, because my stepdown brick only has one socket.

I've read that even though the USB>mains thing says 110v that it's actually multi-voltage and will work in a 240v socket. Have you tried this? I've not had the guts to plug mine in yet

I've never used it. It's in the box.

I use my mobile phone USB block instead.

gave up with the wifi... now running an enormous cable to my router. Much much much better.

An hour's console update!

I didn't realise the Pro controller needed a separate charging cable, and Cex didn't supply one. Still only £2 for a replacement but will take a while to get here.

It's SOOO pretty/colorful. Mario just looks immense.

Xenoblade looks just about perfect upscaled on my 32" Sony LED from a distance of about 3m.

Listening to the audio on headphones via the gamepad too. Very sweet!

My bedroom is right above the living room but I can't get signal to use the gamepad in bed. The range on it is dreadful.
