You have 2 years warranty under EU law. Speak to a manager, get it sorted.

That's rather beside the point if it's also within the 1-year warranty that Nintendo willingly allow for.

Personally, I can't see how that isn't worth arguing with them about, but then I am an argumentative person when I know I'm right. It would probably drive me to sleepless nights to not correct them on their mistake. :P

This could be just the wake up call Nintendo need, if they were in any doubt about changing strategy.

"Hello, Iwata-san? It's Shibata here. You know how we're having trouble selling these Wii Us? It's worse than that. Bastards have started sending us the fuckers back."

AND telling us just to keep them! Cha-ching!

Right, I've finally got myself one of these bad boys, largely thanks to all the positives coming out of this thread (and snaffling a Premium for £180 through Amazon a couple of days ago). My next task is to get some games. What are the essentials? So far my list is:

Mario 3D World

Mario/Luigi U

Rayman Legends

Pikmin 3

Wonderful 101

Any other obvious ones I've missed off?

Good job Scott, you've sold another!

Hell from retail I'd say Lego City seems to get a lot of good rep despite not getting around to it myself. Nintendo Land is another obvious one IF you've got others to play it with.

Digitally/eShop - get Runner 2.

Despite it being quite an old game in itself Wind Waker HD seems to get a hell of a lot of praise and Lego City is often commented on as being a whole lot of fun :)

Both are in my pile of shame but I did have brief go on ZombiU and really liked (V atmospheric IMO) what I saw and it's generally quite cheap now too.

Nintendo Land is an absolute must if you have a few people to play it with. There's still a decent amount of stuff to do as a single player (Donkey Kong's Crash Course in particular is excellent) but it's definitely a game best experienced with others.

I know it's already on your list but NSMB U is a better game than most give it credit for. The main game is good on its own but the Challenge Mode with its difficult gold medals is where the game really shows off how well designed its stages are.

I'm always going on about NSMB U's Challenge Mode.

Wind Waker HD, Runner 2, ZombiU, Deus Ex, Nintendoland, Monster Hunter, Trine 2, NES Remix, Wii Sports Club, Earthbound, Lego City, Resi Rev (if you don't have a 3DS or haven't played it on PS3/360).

Did someone on here say that NSMBU was easy? Either they were lying to look hard or I'm a gaming spasmo. I know which I'd rather believe.

Ignore Neg. He's missing a few slices from his loaf. I'd agree it's quite a tricky game, but you do get attuned to it. I think this is an utterly superb game. One of the best games I've ever played. It really is that good.
