The Nintendo Uk website really is a piece of shit, isn't it?

Got an email from them, "Here, click the link for 50 free stars. Happy Birthday Alshie"

<Click link> Page not found. :(

It's the same just clicking any of their navigation links, frequently broken links.

Could you imagine 2 hours of Charles Martinet talking the way he does?

My face would melt.

His voice is ok to listen to because it has changes in pitch, tone and colour which gives variety even if it would be likely to get annoying after a while. It's much better than trying to listen to someone with a monotone way of speaking. They are so boring that most people switch off very quickly, it's almost painful to the ears and very tedious. Imagine how a robot might speak with a flat tone and you could probably guess how boring it would be.

Especially the sliding block puzzle bits would be amazing on the silver screen.

I'm kinda more thinking along the lines of Disneys latest output ie Tangled/Wreck it Ralph/Frozen. It doesn't have to be completly true to the game (it wouldn't be fun watching Link complete 12 dungeons) but it could certainly be a fun movie. I think Wind Waker was the closest to something movie like to me anyway. Link would 100% need a voice though.

Yeah they could do the silent treatment like Wall-e but i think they should give Link a voice now. For many years, i was opposed to link getting a voice (when twilight princess was announced, i actually had friends quit the Zelda series due to it not getting voices) but now I think i'm ready. Link doesn't need to have a girly elf voice, sure they could go that way but there is no reason why they should keep him silent or give him a terrible annoying voice.

The voice over artist industry has come a long way since Resident evils cheese fest voices.

It would have to be a traditional animation by Ghibli or someone else in Japan.99% non talking link . But he does have vocal chords so we could have some "ttteeeeaaaakk" and "hut ". That cg one looks nice but Zelda is supposed to be so bright and even the enemies are colourful in the games. I could also see it working with puppets in as non dark dark crystal style. But with less scary character designs. And while theyre on a roll we could get that puppet starfox movie.

Well said. I do love Charles, don't get me wrong, and I wish Nintendo would allow him to expand..er...say more then he usually does in the Mario series (Mario Vs DK is where he talks most I believe?).

I'm mostly teasing because 2 hours of whoohoo! uuwwaaaaahhhhh and oh no! Which of course wouldn't happen I'm sure, even if they chose him (and non-Charles Voice for Mario would just be plain wrong now, no matter the medium. They shouldn't have slapped the voices into the GBA ports though.)

Got Lego City Undercover today. Played an hour and a half with my 4 y/o, it's brilliant. Easy enough for him to play, cut scenes are amazing with some great in-jokes for adults. Looks like there's hundreds of collectables for me to find, costumes, cars etc. Love the gamepad features like getting a video call from the station and scanning buildings for targets.

I haven't played a PS3 game since getting the Wii U. It's a brilliant console, the pad is great - comfy too and the integration in games like LCU genuinely adds to gameplay rather than a novelty (like rear touch pad on Vita). I like the UI and the way I can suspend the game to check something on the decent browser or post something to Miiverse (a social network that I have actually used!)

Pikmin 3, LCU (so far) and Mario 3D are up there with the best games I've played in the last 5 years. There's still WWHD and TW101 on my future purchases list and X and MK8 due this year. Good times indeed!

I get this all the time. Clearing the cookies for the Nintendo site seems to work until the next visit.

Magic, thanks. I should have thought of that. Got my stars :)

The surveys are pretty tiresome when doing more than one at a time.

In 30 years of playing games, Super Mario 3D World is hands down one of the best i have ever played.

That alone makes me believe that Nintendo are going to produce some astounding Wii U games in the future.

Looking back on the Wii U in years to come, I won't give a stuff about "how successful" its sales were, I'll look at the games and say it was an amazing experience.

I can't wait to see what is going to come out over the next 12 months.

Has anyone been playing NES Remix? Quite tempted, as I need something to play after Super Mario 3D World, but I'm not really a fan of party games, if NES Remix happens to be one.

It's not a party game. It's a very well put together bunch of challenges based on sections of old NES games. If you're at all keen on retro stuff, it's unmissable.

So it looks like I should be getting a Wii U in next couple of days. Anybody know what the best deals around are? I found Argos doing the premium with nintendoland and a free lego game for 219 but they won't deliver the game so the website gets stuck. I am having a search as well but was just wondering if anybody's seen any.
