Nintendo Wii U

I had a Wii U arrive yesterday. I bought the Mario/Luigi Premium Pack. Also bought Batman Arkham City Armoured Edition as it was the similar price to the 360/PS3 version in price and I was considering a purchase. I think I spent more time setting up than playing. Tried Mario and Batman briefly.

Today the Sonic racing game came and Lego City Undercover, both of which I enjoyed in my brief time with them.

I think I prefer the Wii U browser to the PS3 one I usually use.

I'm really surprised Nintendo hasn't looked into animated movies to be honest. They have a great cast of characters and even their own princesses. Would probably do great as advertisement considering Nintendo are pretty much the video game equivalent of Disney.

Think Sonic is getting it's first CGI movie over the next few years too?

Nintendo are probably the safest of all the console companies. They were making plenty of money even back on the GameCube. They could just drop everything, just make pokemon machines, carry on licencing the fuck out of it and be alright. Sony is losing money everywhere except for games consoles, while Microsoft has the opposite problem where consoles are now on their own and not getting their losses covered.

Browser tip, hold both triggers and tilt the pad to scroll up and down really fast

Could you imagine 2 hours of Charles Martinet talking the way he does?

My face would melt.

Well it's been seven days without a reply since I sent their customer service an email about my faulty Wii U that now refuses to turn on. I even sent them a follow up on Tuesday.

Whats the point in having a repairs email if they have no customer service?

Well, i did think about that but i doubt it would be a problem. Whilst for purist sake, Charles should voice Mario i wouldnt be surprised if they replaced him with someone with a bigger name for the movie. I wouldn't expect Mario to be in the film for 2 hours, considering the huge cast the francise has (and let's be honest i'd be surprised if it was more than an hour and a half).

I fully expect them to branch out into this area though somepoint in the near future. They would be silly not too.

Hell, a Zelda CGI movie could be massively epic if done properly.

I really should have put "CORRUPTED THE LAND" and "A LEGEND TOLD" somewhere in there.

IN A WORLD WHERE MAGIC IS REAL.

HE WAS A FOREST WOODLING. SHE WAS HEIR TO AN ANCIENT THRONE. TOGETHER THEY MUST COMBINE FORCES TO REUNITE THE SAGES OF HYRULE AND BANISH THE ULTIMATE EVIL.

Now that's something I didn't know existed before. Looks way more faithful to the source material than the American SMB cartoon series, which seemed to parody films like Mad Max 2 or Star Wars every episode.

It's surprisingly great indeed.
