There are 3 types of inventory in D&D, who knew? Press the jump button with the inventory open to switch between offensive magic, buffs for players and weapons. Seemed bog standard enough with my first play as a Fighter, but second time as the Elf she has so much more going on - infinite arrows and an arrow spam combo too!

There seems to be some lore about magic swords in there too - ended up in a gnome village this time with 30 seconds to walk about and talk to people.

Got a £15 card today for Zombi U, but bought that Nano shooter and Art Academy instead.

I'll pick Zombi U up on disc maybe :D

You must have almost enough left on that card for ZombiU still anyway - it's only £7:99 on the eShop at the mo (which is just such a bargain).

Push the [-] button to show currently equipped armour and jewellery too.

For a side-scrolling brawler it has a surprising amount of depth to the character classes. :)

Do you all play online even in single player? I've started doing that and you generally get at least one other person joining in.

Really recommend the game to anyone, glad I picked it up for cheap.

I love the WiiU, I really do. It's got me back into gaming in a big way. But I have one complaint. The battery on the gamepad. Wow it's got a shocking life. I'm going to have to invest in the larger capacity battery. Anybody got one? Does it make a big difference. I was trying to polish of the remaining challenges on NES remix and I've had to stop to let it charge.

Many thanks.

Stop playing for more than 4 hours at a time?

It died after 2.5 hours of NES Remix : Although it does recharge extremely quickly. I've found that punting the brightness down does prolong the life. But it's a bit pathetic really.

It's a moot point anyway, the high capacity battery is out of stock everywhere apart from scalpers wanting £55 for it.

They had it in Game on Thursday. Don't know how much it was though.

Mine lasts longer than 2.5 hours though, 3.5 or more easily before I even get a battery low light.

Weird,

I can play mine easily for 4-5 hours and I've still never run out of battery on it.

I do always charge it in the cradle when not playing, mind you.

Maybe it's the distance to the Wii U that's causing the problem, or interference ? ( I'm presuming that the controller ramps up the power to the wireless connection if it's poor, like mobile phones).

The high capacity battery is well worth it if you can find one in stock. Santa was kind enough to deliver one to me for Christmas and I've been really impressed with it. I'd say that it gives at least double the battery life of the original, if not a bit more.

The one thing I did feel a little conned about was once I'd opened the back panel to swap the batteries over you can see that really the unit was designed for the larger battery from the off. A bit tight on Nintendo's part, I thought.

Personally I much prefer the original wii party over the Wii u version. There's some nice stuff in it like game pad only games and a couple of the house party games but the boards themselves are dull and you spend more time rolling dice than playing games. Plus the fact nothing from the original is carried over is a huge oversight. Get the original I'd say.
