Nintendo Wii U

I wish I could do an install of my games I have on disc, or at least put little icons on the gamepad screen for them. It would be nice to have my entire collection available there and if I pick one not downloaded, I just get prompted to put the disc in.

Rayman Legends is £16.99 at Game.co.uk ... rude not to, but my Wii U pile of shame is ludicrous at the moment.

Batman: Arkham City (2%)

Wonderful 101 (Mission 005-B)

Pikmin 3 (Day 3)

Deus Ex (Still sealed)

NSMBU (Finished, but a good 50% to go)

Darksiders II (thought I had done loads, looked at a FAQ, realised I've done 6/22 chapters)

Nintendoland, Tekken and Wii Party U have hardly had a look-in.

EDIT: I forgot to add *properly* completing SM3DW to that list.

Doom 64 was really pretty good. Not as good as doom on the PC.. But it was suitably different.

Also featured crying baby soundtrack which was quite freaky

I remember playing it on my N64 and the only crying I heard was my own.

and my WiiU pile of shame is similarly silly. It also includes ZombiU, Mass Effect 3 and Assassin's Creed unplayed and Tekken, Batman, Darkstalkers, Game and Wario, Pikmin 3, NSMBU and Sonic Transformed not played enough.

I have a good excuse though as I am busy playing 3D World and Wind Waker.

Am I missing something with miiverse? I've read several times here about how addictive it is, but I went onto the NSMB u one and it just seems to be a list of screenshots and posts from people playing the game. Nice and all, but not exactly amazing. Or am I doing it wrong?

I'm in!!

Having decided that neither the bone nor the PS4 did it for me (in their semi finished launch states, but let's not go there eh!) and that what I really needed in my life was some lovely fun, colorful and quality gaming, the choice was pretty simple!!

I've always been a fan of Nintendo stuff anyway and now that there's a decent amount of top games out on it I went out and grabbed one with enough games to keep me going for ages and it still came in at less than a standalone PS4, lovely stuff!! Even the cat approves :).

Anyway I've added myself to the rllmuk NNID list so please feel free to add me (LaughingAssasin) as I'd love to see what this Miiverse thing is all about. Oh and should I be grabbing a Pro controller as I had a quick blast on NSMBU trying both the game pad and a wiimote and found it hard to settle on which one to use though it could just be down to a lack of familiarity. Any thoughts? as I'm heading into town (hospital visit, burger & a pint and then home for WiiU time, aces!!) in a few min's so if it's a given that it's what I need then I'll grab one :).

Blimey. What a collection of gaming goodness you've got there. You're going to have a great Christmas playing that lot. PS4 and XBONE cannot compete with the shear amount of game play there. All bases covered there and not a FPS in sight. Long live Nintendo!

I honestly can't see why anyone would pick a bone or ps4 over a wiiu this Xmas. Next year it might be a different story, but for now it's a no brainier

I went 'full brainier' and bought two out of the three, PS4 and WiiU, and I'm loving them both. Together I feel like a have one 'whole' console of goodness with my choice of games, with a side order of Vita

Yeah, that's a pretty good combo, although I think around April 2014 will be the time to get a ps4

Definitely, there's no massively compelling reason to have one right now but there's enough gaming on PS4 to keep me occupied (Resogun, Killzone and the cross gen games; Rivals and Lego Marvel plus the brilliant update of Flower) and the OS is lovely to use. I just saw Mario 3D and had to have a WiiU as well, even if it is a year earlier than I planned!

Anyone played a mission on Lego city where you have to stop a truck and then take it to a restaurant after and police just crash into you constantly and destroy you? Anyone know how on earth you do it?

It's pretty tough. I think it took me 2 or 3 attempts to do it. I can't really offer any advice on how to do it but remember my vehicle being pretty much totalled by the end.

I've had one or two decent discussions as well.

I suppose it's great for helping out, asking for help, showing off scores/achievements, sharing funny screenshots, or for simply throwing thoughts out there.
