Specifically is NSMB Luigi the same game but with different graphics? I can see you now have a pack that come sith the HW NSMB and NSMB Luigi download. I had thought it was just an anniversary gimmick and not a new game?

New Super Luigi U is basically a set of brand new levels (80?) where you play just as Luigi and have 100 seconds to complete the level. They're also supposed to be much harder. So yes, it's a whole new 'game' for about half the price of a regular title.

A whole new game is pushing it. I guess technically it is. Maybe, you'd have to have memorised the original levels to notice. And it's definitely much harder because stupid fucking luigi can't stop flor shit.

Yeah that's why I said 'game', technically it is but y'know. At least they admit as much with the pricing.

It really is such a colossal fuck up that Mario Kart is not out until April. Nintendo would be absolutely killing this Christmas it if they had that and Super Mario World 3D on the shelves this month.

Presumably they're going for April to sell to kids on easter break from school, same as with Pokemon and the 2DS in October just gone.

It does seem blatant.. I mean focused... on getting kids to pester their parents to buy one. Probably a good focus tactic, it would get lost in the teen PS4 Xbox One hype. Now they need to do the second punch direct to the parents saying "you can use your old balance board to lose weight, you fat bastards (and play Wii Sports in HD)"

Hmmm... It's at the same time as Infamous Second Son, Kinect Adventures 2, and Watch Dogs, and Dark Souls 2 on PS3/360. Hardly a drought.

Oh, and Destiny and Titanfall.

Just picked up a premium with Nintendo land for £199.99 at Smyths for my boys Xmas pressie.

Lego City Undercover LE is £30 at shopto. 3D Land £40 and I'll get Zelda and TW101 for myself after Christmas.

Going to update it all now so ready on the day.

Can't wait!

For what it's worth we're really enjoying New Super Luigi at the moment. It's virtually impossible for a single player but we've been making steady progress with three players. It's still challenging but it's good fun and there's lots of shouting. You just have to treat it as a team co-op game and not get upset when one of your lives is sacrificed for the greater good of getting the other two closer to the flagpole.

We're playing as Luigi, Toad and Nabbit. I reckon it would be even more manageable if one of us used Boost mode instead but we all want to be bouncing around on stuff.

Nabbit's invincible though, how can you not get through the levels? Or are one of the yoofs playing as him?
