This is what I hate about living in the republic of ireland.

On the gamestop.ie website, under wii u - this is 'Hot Right Now'... Look at the fucking price.

It's exactly the same here in Singapore. I just happened to get lucky when I found it for $25.

Nintendo stock is fucking flying. I knew it. I've always liked this strategy and still feel they will be the biggest winners at Christmas. Should have put my money where my mouth is.

Apparently it's off the back of them buying into some company called Dwango?

They bought the shares off the founder of Dwango because he asked them to help him out of some financial difficulty and wanted to liquidate some of his capital, investor speculation seems unfounded, buying into the Japanese equivalent of Youtube at a ~1% holding is hardly a sign of some grand strategy change, unless this means they are finally going to capitulate to analyst suggestions and make mobile games, which is what investors must be inferring.

Nintendo Co. (7974), the creator of the game franchises Mario and Zelda, closed at the highest since August after buying a stake in Dwango Co. (3715), a company that provides content through mobile phones.

Nintendo acquired the shares at the request of Dwango Chairman Nobuo Kawakami for his personal funding needs, said Minagawa.

Bit worried now, as my Wii U controller's left stick is getting seriously worn. it's like the top layer has some off, and it's getting all scratched and sticky. Bad. Don't really have any options, do I? If it was a Pro Controller, I'd just have to get a new one once the wear gets too bad, but if the controller's part of the console itself...

Seeing as they don't sell them in the shops your only option is to call Nintendo. I'm sure they'll sort you out. Just mention my name.

How is it that sim of you are having your Wii Fit meters register that you're burning 2000 calories a day? I've got a Nike Fuel bad that reckons I've done 19800 steps and 1223 calories so far today (16:45) and my Wii Fit Meter reckons 20000 steps and 1300 calories, so very similar readings.

The thing is, I ran 15k this morning in just over 65 minutes which my running app reckons burnt 977 calories.

I've just walked into town and back, which adds another 6-7k or so and spent the day tidying, cleaning, vacuuming etc. I literally only stopped to prepare and eat some breakfast from 11:15-12:00.

There is something clearly wrong with the maths both these devices are using or I should be a very, very fat person as I eat shed loads and only weigh 62kg.

Are you all marathon runners or something? ;)

Cut your nails. Good for lego, bad for thumbsticks. Is it weaker than a 360 one ?

Nah, I have short nails on my left hand (for guitar playing originally) and make sure not to dig in fingernails. The top's just worn away from friction or my hot thumb action or something. Would be tempted to swap over the stick from my Pro controller but I'd fuck up both knowing my luck. No idea how it compares to an Xbox 360 controller, never owned or played on an Xbox, to be honest.

Just had another person ask what my Wii U is today, incidentally. Had to explain it's not just a black Wii with a "tablet" peripheral. Again.

Haha, well the demos section seems light...because it is.

I think you just missed the cut off for free Wii Street U, which is a nice gimmick but ultimately nothing more than that. There's that 360 degree virtual trip thing that I tried once and just didn't bother with again.

Big shame there are no demos for the indie stuff. But they do have different groups on the front page every so often (like the 3DS eShop).

If you have kids/loads of people over, Nintendo Land.

If you remotely enjoy real time strategy games or Pikmin, Pikmin 3 is boss.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is one of those elaborate but enjoyable adventure RPGs with enough idiosyncrasies to make it out of reach of mass acceptance but still a good game.

Haven't played Lego City Undercover but it's very well received on here. And get your preorder for Super Mario 3D World in because
