Nintendo Wii U

I'm getting a PS4 in like 8 days and I still can't decide on what game to buy. I'm just getting something that will take advantage of the upgraded visual power because there really isn't anything that looks fun. So it's either Killzone or Battlefield and I can't stress how tired I am of FPS games. How bizarre is it that Super Mario 3D is the ONLY upcoming game this year that excites me? I'm actually tempted to buy a WiiU now. Crazy times.

That is exactly now I feel, hence why I have cancelled my PS4 pre order and instead shall be getting a Wii U for Christmas with some games that genuinely look fun to play.

Tried the new wii sports club things, seems like polished versions of the wii...

Oddly i cant play it on other user accounts, when Sophie loaded up her profile and then the game the blowing and tennis was greyed out?

Had a go on wii fit u also, the luge thing is mental - kills my back but good gun, seems again a very polished version of the wii game!

I'm not sure if my controller is wonky or I'm not quite understanding the controls. Sometimes I can position the racket on the right side of my Mii (and back and forth to left), other times it seems locked to the left side. That's the only time I feel I'm not properly controlling it.

There was a video on the tweaked (Motion Plus enhanced) Wii Sports Club Tennis controls in the recent Iwata Asks:

My daughter just played in on her account. It came up with some guff about having to visit the shop at least once. So, she went into the shop (had to agree to some gubbins) and returned to the game and it worked fine.

Perhaps that event is age-restricted

Hmm, having trouble with the controllers. My gold Zelda one's always been fucked so went with the old one with the attachment. Worked fine for a bit but then you could see it visibly creep - so that soon the bat would be behind me when it should have been by my side, which meant it wouldn't change to backhand because of the messed up starting position. Which is a bit shit.

Downloaded Wii Sports Club, immediately deleted. Thought to myself, no way am I willingly touching a Wiimote ever again. Too many bad memories.

Have to remember to pick up some Duracells tomorrow for the Balance Board and try the Wii Fit U demo. Is the pedometer thing mandatory?

WiFit U uses the Wiimotes so you're fucked.
