FYI, in case people had missed them, almost all the Ubisoft line-up is on special at £11:99 on the eShop at the mo:

Assassin's Creed III (Wii U Discount) - £11.99 - Ubisoft

ZombiU (Wii U Discount) - £11.99 - Ubisoft

Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth (Wii U Discount) - £11.99 - Ubisoft

Rabbids Land (Wii U Discount) - £11.99 - Ubisoft

Sports Connection (Wii U Discount) - £11.99 - Ubisoft

Your Shape: Fitness Evolved 2013 (Wii U Discount) - £11.99 - Ubisoft

Some crap in there, but ZombiU is unmissable at that price.

All the talk about Wii Fit U and the like makes for pretty grim reading and it will give you flashbacks to the very worst of the Wii era despite the Wii U being really good on its own merits.

Don't be silly. There's nothing wrong with WiiFitU.

The thing with the WiiU is that, arguably, it's catering more effectively for the proper 'wide' audience compared to the Wii... The problem with the WiiU is that Nintendo isn't getting that message across to either...

Bit disappointed with WiiFit U actually just because the balance games - the only reason I use the thing - are all the flipping same and the extreme obstacle course is impossible.

Like the waiter one though.

I didn't play WiiFit plus so these are all new to me...

The golf swing one is really well done... even takes a video of you doing your swing.

Snagged a 32GB premium Zelda bundle for £200 during the play.com sale.

I'm mainly interested in games that I can play on gamepad only (1 tv household and 2 kids). I've got deus ex, batman Arkham city and darksiders 2 for about £40 in total from Cex

Any other recommendations for gamepad only?

Your Shape looks good, I presume it uses a Wii remote?

Mainly diet and exercise, but thanks!

This might be a bit of a niche pair of recommendations but Spiderman is pretty good on the pad, apart from some tearing in the first hour and while it's ugly as sin and short I have a soft spot for the Transformers game. It's very eager to please. Looks.... OK on the pad. Will make you gasp in horror on the TV.

Gawd. First it won't connect to my utterly bog standard router without a manual IP reservation and manually specified DNS. Then it takes forever to do an upload, now I can't link my nintendo network account (the details of which I have checked about ten times) because they're apparently wrong. Nintendo!

Edit - apparently club nintendo isn't the same thing as Nintendo network. Boy do I have egg on my face :hmm:

Just to remind you all, Wii Sports Club is out on the e-shop today, with only tennis and bowling available for now. There's a 24-hour free pass to sample the game, and then in order to play more, you either need to buy a sport outright for £8.99 each, or buy a 24-hour temporary access pass for £1.79 which covers all available sports. There is online multiplayer but no voice chat, and you're limited to communicating with other players via set phrases on the D-pad that you've written beforehand and have been pre-modded by Miiverse mods.

Golf, baseball and boxing will show up in due course. No word yet on whether anything from Wii Sports Resort will also be converted.

CVG wasn't particularly impressed with the online but did say that local play is as good as ever: http://www.computerandvideogames.com/436777/features/good-sport-wii-sports-club-attempts-to-recapture-former-glory-on-wii-u/

I've added a few forumites through Miiverse, if you get a Friend request from Janski, then that's me. Don't be shy now

Feel free to add me too. Everyone should have Scottcr and me on their Wii U friends list - those that do will be saved when the day comes.

I can't wait to discover how shite I am at Wii Sports Tennis now it has online. I used to think I was amazing at Tony Hawks games until I got on that internet and saw videos which disabused me of that notion, I'm expecting similar here. The level of play that beats my mum may not get me too far.

I have Scott added, but don't know if I have you. So, I'll add later on, can't get my Chicken Pox addled 7 year old son away from Smash Bros Brawl at the moment. (Nor do I want to!)

To be honest, I didn't think I was particularly good until a friend from University claimed he was unbeatable at Wii Tennis, and so naturally I was all "CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!" at that. He won the first game, but I won the second and third. You may well find that there is not quite the range of skills that there is in, say, Street Fighter. I know there will be people who are better than others, but I do wonder how much of a difference Motion Plus will make. Will people without it still be able to play against people with it?
