Nintendo Wii U

Cheers for that, I've got it synced and can hear loads of bleeps but now there's nothing on the screen, just my luck to get a dodgy one.

I'll give Nintendo a call and see what they suggest.

Cheers,

Indy

That's a shame, I just synced mine and it displayed registered on the screen and appears to be working fine.

Got the kids WiiU that they're having for xmas out today and did the system update and downloaded Wind Waker ready to play. The whole process was fairly painless and took less than two hours. The hardware itself is really nice, very impressed. Have got them Pikmin 3 and will be getting Super Mario 3D World for them (and me!). Xmas Day is going to be very special this year I think.

Ah, thought it was a bit cheap.

Just got a Wii Fit meter in the post. Pretty decent value to get the full game + pedometer for £20. Even if huge chunks of the game are the same as the one I've already bought twice.

Yeah, it's decent value, particularly given the meter has more functionality than a pedometer. The community features and more tailored routines/workouts are pretty significant improvements, and the new activities are great. Dancing and rock climbing are fun, assuming you have two RemotePlus controllers, and the luge is excellent.

I'm still downloading the trial but how are the measurements and routine building? Can you ask it to make you a 'strength' list that lasts for a longe period of time, for example?

The Fit Meter tracks more than just steps apparently.

It does stuff like altitude so it knows when you climb hills etc. It also tracks time so it can mark out periods of activity. Much more than a pedometer. It seems like it's a development of the "Walk With Mii" thing on DS which was pretty good and got me walking quite a lot for while.
