Nintendo Wii U

The few rare sessions I've had with family playing Nintendo Land have just been phenomenally fun. I was the ghost in the ghost mansion game, and it never got old. I was like Leon silently taking them out from the shadows. It didn't matter how many times I won, they just wanted to try and catch me over and over and over again. We played it 56 times in one session and they won twice! That was a single mini game. We didn't get round to playing anything else.

If party U has anything as good as that then it'll be brilliant. But everyone should get Nintendo Land if they don't have it already.

The first level of Darksiders II has an incredibly large amount of wall climbing that I wasn't expecting. It seemed to be some form of linking story to the first game so I'll ignore it for now as I'm just starting the game proper now as I'm assuming it was a tutorial more than anything.

Graphics are OK. Quite shiny and remind me of Fable and Brütal Legend. Death looks like the guitarist from Slipknot.

Anyone else have this? Total impulse but so no idea what I'm in for to be honest. Started playing like Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, but now seem to be in an open world hub.

I can see myself getting more than £10 worth of entertainment from it though, which is good.

Yep, Darksiders 2 is my favourite Wii U game so far. Wall climbing plays a massive part in the game, along with Zelda-style puzzles. The dungeons all look amazing and the puzzles are never too frustrating, plus I don't really like hack and slash games but I really loved the fighting in this one. I played it exclusively on the gamepad as I didn't like the jaggies when I tried it on my TV. Great game IMO.

We played some Wii Party U last night, excellent fun.

The board game mode is a little phoned in but the mini games were fun.

The house party modes we played were great though. There's one where all 4 of us had to draw something in fifteen seconds but one person was given something different but similar to the rest. We then all had to guess the odd one out. Really good fun. Another had each person taking turn taking a photo of themselves expressing what was written on the screen, like 'feather on you nose' and stuff. Everybody else got a multiple choice answer to pick from.

There were some other excellent games as well but I'm typing this on my WiiU and it's getting to be a chore. [better than a 5]

I'm playing Deus Ex as a Mario-graduating noob.

Things could be going better. Combat isn't working out for me, the guns are useless in my hands with next to no ammo. Death comes quickly.

Stealth is more effective but I still don't seem to be doing it right. This would all be my problem and not the game's but for the lengthy loading screens being a real pain.

Despite my own failings, I'm compelled to stick with it.

I have this dream. It's a simple dream really.

I just want to go into Sainsburys and be able to buy one of these half price games that everybody else seems to be able to get without any hassle. Both Pikmin and Rayman are £34.99 at my local store.

Its an ace game - well I loved it (played on the PS3 mind so no idea of the quality of the port) - Zelda meets PoP with a side order of God of War.
