WiiU party up in this bitch!

I'm hoping to make some good progress through Wind Waker this weekend, then it's back to Wonderful 101 to crack on with Hard mode, after that I'm toying with the idea of putting in Batman Arkham City that I got as a freebie (even though I rinsed it on the 360) just to see how the PadControlerScreenThingy works with it. Gonna hold off on the 2D Mario so I'm not Mario'd out when 3D and Kart arrives. Need to get back into ZombieU at some stage, maybe save that for post Christmas comedown.

I'm pretty much set with this being my primary console, next gen can start without me. Bayonetta is gonna be in the mix too. Thats more than enough games to keep me busy.

It's one of the best 2d platformers ever, everyone should play it!

Yep. I wouldn't even flinch if someone said it was outright their favourite 2D Mario game. It's beautiful, controls brilliantly and the sheer wealth of excellent challenges to get stuck into alongside the main game (around 80 in total) are what sealed the deal for me. And I really, really disliked the original NSMB on DS.

I bought the Zelda Wii U bundle today. It was rude not to at that price! It's being put back until December, though.
Popped into Sainsbury's on the way home from work and bought a couple games. Pikmin 3 was marked up as £34.99, but went through at £17.50. LEGO City Undercover LE was priced at £22.50 as well. So I got that one too.
Christmas is going to be amazing.

Thanks for the heads up, got Pikmin this morning :)

I'm almost finished wind waker hd so I'm going to get a new game today.. I told myself I'd only get one game at a time so I'm having a hard time choosing whether to get Lego city or wonderful 101...

I've never played a lego game but the videos I've seen of LCU look fun and it's appealing to me for some reason. I really like the wonderful 101 demo.

I only get an hour or two(at most) of gaming a day so whichever one I get is going to be what I'm playing for a few weeks at least..

Which is generally considered to be the better game?

I'd go with TW101. It's by far the best game I've played in recent years. From the first level right up until the very end your jaw will be on the floor. On top of that it has an unreal amount of replayability.

Well, I haven't bought or decided it yet. I just want to play fucking Mario and I think the kids will like the Nintendoland and Lego City stuff. I'd like to play Zombi U and maybe some of the upcoming indie games. Apart from that I still think it sucks balls a bit, but if I can get it cheap...

Hopefully Mediamarkt or Saturn will have a stunt deal around the holidays. So far the best deal I've seen is 300 euros with a game thrown in and discount on another game if you get it at the same time which is a tiny bit too dear for me still.

the kids (and you) will LOVE nintendoland, it is brilliant fun. LCU is great too from what i hear. as for ZombiU, it really is absolutely marvellous. you will shit yourself at parts.

so many other great games too, NSMBU, mario 3d, pikmin, w101, all the vc stuff...

W101 autosaves throughout missions. You don't have to play a whole mission in one go.

I had to do the entire first mission again after quitting after the bit in the hole you uncover.

An hour between saves? The first couple of levels were about 45 minutes, but I'm tending to bust them within 25-30 minutes now I've gotten to grips with it. Maybe I'm better than I thought.

I've played for two hours ten minutes. I've only played the first mission twice. And I didn't even play all of the first mission the first time.

Well, I would definitely get Nintendoland, Super Mario 3D World, NSMBU and Zombi U. Somewhere down the line I'd probably get Rayman Legends (unless I buy it for Vita) and Lego City Undercover for my kids. Apart from that there's not really anything that interests me (never liked Pikmin on the GC, Wonderful 101 looks too weird, hard and frustrating and the VC stuff is overpriced and I already have about a billion emulators that play those games anyway). But still, 3-5 games I'd like to play would tide me over for a while I suppose. Just not too sure about the console's future, as nothing announced apart from Super Mario 3D World is likely to set my world on fire.

I think everyone should be forced by government rules to play the wonderful 101. They should be given educational classes into why it's so bloody good.

"Now then Children, we are going to discuss the abilities of the Unite Hammer morph. For example did you know that the unite hammer can protect you from falling objects and missiles?"

The class gasps and then applauds.

Does it get a bad rep? When?

It's just all the guff about re-used assets and whatever. I love the design and for me I don't regret paying full price for it. I want to go back to it next year when I'd have a chance to play it somewhat fresh again. I remember getting mocked for saying it reminded me of Super Mario World, but it does. In a way it's sad we're not going to get another one for years. I don't mind if they give us more 3D Mario though.
