Nintendo Wii U

Oh definitely, that would have sold the Wii U to me more than Wind Waker to be honest, but i'll settle for TYD for now :)

Thing is, it already looks gorgeous on the Gamecube even on a CRT. I'd much rather a brand new Paper Mario to take advantage of the Gamepad and to make up for Super Paper Mario's disappointment. And if they're remaking anything next, I want Majora's Mask 3DS next year please.

Is there a way to transfer saved data yet from one Wii U to another? I won't get my replacement until Wednesday but I want to start ZombiU now :(

I know games can be transferred from a Wii to a Wii U, but how about from a Wii U to a Wii U?

Transferring data from one Wii U to another Wii U is not supported at this time. However, we are looking into this feature and will provide an update if there is anything to report.

So this update means that Wind Waker is pretty much one of the best looking games across two full generations, and the start of a third. I'm at Windfall Island and the game is simply beautiful; while £44-49.99 is an insane price, it's disingenuous to suggest that it's a simple up-res job that should cost no more than £25.

I won't pretend that it's my favourite Zelda (the Triforce hunt saw to that) but if that & less damning annoyances have dealt with as effectively as some are saying, it might come close.

Just had a quick blast at WW, and it's lovely. I enjoyed the Gamecube version until the sailing stuff came in, so hopefully with that having been altered I can see it through to the end. I tried Wonderful 101, and although I noticed the low polygon counts and slightly blurred textures, those thoughts were banished within seconds of taking control. I can already tell I'll fall in love with that game.

I've started using gamepad mode as much as I can. I bought the cheapest Samsung 1080p TV I could find and games look gash on it. I've heard people complaining about the resolution of the gamepad screen, but the colours are perfect and it smooths images out beautifully.

Wait, what? I can play Xenoblade on the Gamepad? :omg:

I only bought that really late and stopped playing since getting the WiiU. Time to get stuck back in, I'd only just got to the exceptionally cool Ewok village big tree place as well.

Or am I misunderstanding and I'll have to still use the classic controller? I suppose that is probably what I'll have to do, not sure that will lend itself to in-bed play...

From what I understand you only use the Game Pad as a screen, you'll still have to use the original control methods :(

They really do need to sort that out as soon as possible. Some form of mapping must be achievable. I'd certainly see that as a big reason for me to get a wiiu.

Knowing Nintendo though they'll just leave that feature half finished so only a few diehards will use it. :(
