I honestly am surprised at the amount of hate for two men dressed as robots shaking their arms and talking about games 'robotic-ly' whilst threatening to kill us.

You don't have to like it, but come on, doesn't it amuse even slightly in concept? Isn't it a fresh take on reviewing/not taking oneself too seriously whilst doing so?

It's not like there is a lack of information on the games themselves relayed to the viewer, either.

Feel free to link better comedy game reviewer videos that are better then the ranting robots.. (that are nonetheless still informative) Outside of Classic Game Room (which doesn't make me laugh quite as much these days) none come on top of my head. Theres the australlian fellow that hates everything that's degraded in quality too over the years I would say. Though mainly due to it feeling like he has to find negative things about the game he's reviewing to come off 'funny'. Not including something like AVGN as it's not modern stuff reviewed.

What is the Digitiser of this generation? Transitioned to jokes on podcasts? Hmph.

Wonderful 101 reviews are coming in and proving once again that games journos are pretty cack handed. Several of the low score ones complain about controls and drawing things on the gamepad (you don't have to do it so whats the problem?). Some people are raving about it and some aren't. I think anyone who has played the demo and can handle the controls knows just how good it actually is.

I don't think the concept is too bad, but the execution is terrible. Listening to two Americans that sound like they have Aspergers dressed in tin foil doesn't make for fun times, man.

Frrrrrggnnnnn cnnnnnzzzzz.

I'm not so sure that the Wonderful 101 is for everyone. I played the demo and after a while it clicked and I loved it whereas an avid gamer friend of mine was very excited to play it but hated it specifically because of the controls.

He just couldn't seem to get the motions down (using the stick or drawing) in an accurate manner.

I certainly didn't have any problems with doing unites during the demo... You don't even have to look down. I'm not sure if it becomes more difficult though once you've got more drawings to trace out... Kamiya uses the stick btw.

In other news, I'm really surprised at how good Cloudberry Kingdom is. The art style makes it look like a flash game but it's extremely addictive and well paced. Control is excellent on the gamepad d-pad and it really suits being played on it, with the screen about 2 inches from your constantly frowning face... For all it's obscene difficulty, free play allows you to switch everything off... Which was great for my wee boy, who loved playing it and showing me how "awesome" he was at it. :)

Why do you post this shite?

Because, shock horror, people all have different tastes and some people quite like it. I'm one of them, I find them quite funny. It was a useful post for me and I'll watch and laugh most likely.

Some people genuinely have sand in their knickers over the strangest things, I didn't realise we were only allowed to post content that was 'approved'.

Lighten up people, it's just a funny video - nobody is forcing you to watch them or anything.

There's a reason why the Observer picked Mark Kermode to be their new film critic and not a wanker with a bin on his head doing an impression of a Cyberman.

There is also a reason that some people think Mark Kermode is a dull twat. Everyone has opinions, and this place would be rather quiet if they didn't right?

rubbish robot thing

Not you too Scott...I thought you of all people would stick by me. My brother, you fail me now!

PS Of course they play the games, they make all sorts of very specific comments during their reviews that could only come from having played them. I trust them more than Edge at the moment - those Future boys appears to have lost their fun-gland down the back of some independent studio sofa in Bratislava.

I'll admit to having found them quite funny at first... but I think they try a bit too hard and their reviews go on for too long.

Oh - and Edge, absolutely, how can a magazine about playing with digital toys be so po-faced.

Because they put reviews out when nobody else does.

Legends is out in what, a week? It's not exactly super-early - I guess if there is no embargo, they just push them out when they want - they have no other news/reviews schedule to slot them around.

And, they're robots. Normal rules do not apply.

I got a basic from ShopTo for £180 last week. That's about as cheap as you can get one at the minute. It's been worth every penny too.

Hmm looks like that's gone up to £250 now. I might wait til it's back at that price then- don't really want to spend much more than that considering I'll only be using it for a few games really.

The Kyurem figure which comes with the Pokémon Rumble U special edition is pretty much a win button, my eldest daughter has thus claimed it as hers and loves it :D

We had to spend all our points powering up the Victini we got as the other figure in the box so it was always in the top 4, to keep daughter #2 happy.

They both went to bed last night with their own Pokémon tucked up in their respective Pokéballs.
