Nintendo Wii U

Already experienced it in 3D Land, thanks. Along with it's art style and the exact worlds it'll have.

Music might even carry over, too.

Wasn't Super Mario 3D Land great? What's so wrong with a direct sequel?

People want a sequel to Super Mario Galaxy 2 more, it seems.

They should just make a Sunshine 2 as it seems a 3D Land sequel isn't wanted on WiiU, no one like NSMB even if the sales say otherwise and a Galaxy like game would be a lazy sequel as well. It's time to give Sunshine another chance.

I've had my machine for 5 or 6 weeks now and up until last night it's run flawlessly.

Last night the machine locked up twice - the first after completing a race on the afterburner stage of sonic racing and then about half an hour later on the YouTube app.

Looking at posts on various forums it would seem that Wii u lock ups seem fairly common.

I'm hoping it's a software rather than hardware issue.

The YouTube app is horrible. I used it the first day then switched to using the browser instead, since you can uses that without closing whatever app you have open and you can still browse the web while the youtube vid plays on the TV. It's pretty good.

Went back to NSMBU's main game after being distracted by getting Gold in the challenges. Some of the hidden exits are pretty damn devious, probably surpassing Mario World's best. Frosted Glacier's Swaying Ghost House even had a tricky and clever standard exit! The hidden exit in level 1 - 2 cunningly played on players' expectations too. Such a brilliant game.

Remember on SMW where you had to nose-dive with the cape under the usual exit on Cheese Bridge to get the hidden exit which leads to a different stage? This game is crammed with stuff like that.

I think tonight is a good night to try and convince the wife it's time to buy, finally. Wish me luck!

Am I being really dense here? The NES Donkey Kong is showing as £3.49 for me, while all the other NES games I bought on the Wii are showing as £0.99. I've bought the others for the convinience, but why don't I get DK on the cheap?

Ah, OK. I see it should be 30p then, but thats not the question I was asking, I was wondering why it was not reduced as I had bought it before like all the other NES games that have appeared (to 99p, not 30p).

But I'll hold on then!

You've already bought the other games on the Wii? The 99p is the "upgrade" to go for existing purchases made on the Wii to the Wii U.

I take it that you never bought DK on the Wii? Then it's full price....

I did buy it on the Wii, it's sat on my Wii U at the moment in the Wii section. I reckon it must be because it;s going on sale, so I'll not sweat it
