Nintendo Wii U

Hi all

Got a Wiiu back in Christmas and have played Mario to death. Can't really seem to get into Zombie U, have monster hunter on 3ds and know that pikmin is not for a few weeks.

But fancy trying something new this weekend. Anyone got a recommendation?

I've got a feeling galaxy could be done on the 3DS... With the graphics. Who cares?

One's portable, one isn't. That's a difference enough. If it can be made portable, it should be. It's not wrong to want the home console version of a franchise to push things.

You what, that makes no sense what so ever - seriously, have a read back what you posted!

Every game shown for the PS4 could be done on the vita, minus the gfx - THE PS4 IS DOOOOOOOOOOOMED.

Every game on the XBONE, ahh thats already DOOOOOOMED

Sonic lost world is being done on the 3ds, SEGA ARE DOOOOOMED and releasing a shitty handheld game on a home consolem fuck me man show some imagination etc etc

I mean christ, has there ever been a platform game that couldnt be done on a handheld - cant think of one.

Everything's been said about it already and in truth I didn't need to bring it up again. My handheld example kind of works because they're copying it right down to the title of the freaking game (being similar to the 3DS one) and saying in the dev video that the Wii U version was being worked on first.

I dunno. If Super Mario Land Ultra was to be announced on the SNES, and basically has the same exact quirky gameplay as Mario Land (weird jumping, exploding koopa troopas) but with a dash of colour, I'd be just as disappointed and ask why is it not on handheld instead.

Just. Expected. More.

Edit: The difference with Sonic is both versions are released at the same time. You don't get a handheld release and then a year later get a console version based on the same game.

Well Sonic Team looking for inspiration at Galaxy makes something right.

Overall E3 was pretty forgettable and Nintendo's stuff was good, but nothing that blew me away. I love the Smash reveal, Bayo 2 looks sexy, X will make me drool in the future etc etc.

One thing that made me question myself was the Retro Studios reveal being DKC TF and at first I was disappointed. Few hours later, I kind of think that's weird. I like DKCR a lot and I'm disappointed Retro's doing a sequel to a good game. Funny how that works. Wind Waker HD seems ace and I'm not bummed out by Super Mario 3D World. In EAD Tokyo we trust. Haven't played a bad game from them yet and I don't think 3D World will change that.

Biggest surprise is Mario Kart 8. I'm not much of a Mario Kart fan, but I really like MK 7 on 3DS and to me it looks like Nintendo's is going for MK 7 approach for 8. If so, I have very high hopes for MK 8. And oh, I almost forgot about the Wonderful 101, but everyone seems to do that already :( This game will be amazing. It will fill the void of VJ 3. *cries*
