Nintendo Wii U

I've not touched mine in months, I'm considering selling it. I'm never good at pricing these things, but whats a good price for the Premium Zombiu pack with Mario Bros U and BLOPS2?

If you're not desperately looking to sell, I'd wait until HMV stop selling the Premium plus Zombi U for £199 otherwise you'll be heavily out of pocket.

That's pretty much over now, as hardly anyone is managing to get one from there.

I hesitated on Friday afternoon/evening and they were all gone by the end of the day from the one near me.

Well, CEX offer £145 cash for it boxed, I guess it comes down to how confident Herbalizer is in a price cut in the summer and if he's not going to play on it till then.

Oh and don't forget your account is still tied to the console at the moment, so you can't really recover your purchases without it being a pain in the arse.

I must be imagining the games I'm playing on mine

Come on Scott, don't be so pedantic. The release schedule so far has been fucking ridiculous. I'm not saying that in time it won't have a library of must-own games, but at the moment there really isn't all that much to make me, and many, many others, want one.

My cousin came over for gamin' times yesterday and he's sort of like a more intense Nintendo obsessed Scottcr; he won't buy a non-nintendo console. He was in a wild rage about the fact people say there's no games for the Wii U when there clearly are games and, furthermore, it's absolutely the strongest console launch there's ever been. So we looked through all these games he'd brought then played Micro Machines on the Mega Drive instead.

Also, apart from Lego City, all the games I want for the Wii U have release dates of TBA. Looking through the list was pretty grim. 3DS was the same situation when I got that too, I guess. I think every time I get a console at launch I forget what it was like the last time.

At least this time there's Miiverse to keep me occupied.

I really wish they didn't include Save States in those Virtual Console releases. I simply do not have the self control not to use them and as a result I'm entirely missing the point of Punch Out!! I finished it before on the NES anyway. Well, I say finish; I've got to Tyson but never beat him. I consider that finished since it's the best I'll ever do.

Well I flogged mine last week. After initial sellers regrets I think it was the right decision. I enjoyed Mario. ZombiU and Nintendoland but there was nothing scheduled I was arsed about and I figure I can always pick one up again in the future post (inevitable) price drop.

Nice kit but it doesn't really seem to be going anywhere...

I will definitely take a peek at lunchtime to see if that's true.

I don't think the Basic is worth it if the Premium is £199. The extra stuff plus the Nintendo Network rebate is more than £50 in my opinion.

I have boxed mine up and it's joined the other old stuff in the spare bedroom where it shall soon be lost under junk.

I hadn't touched it since the 3rd January and see nothing on the horizon to justify it wasting even e minimal electricity it must use on standby. Additionally, just the sight of it, and especially that ludicrous big pad, started to really annoy me.

I fucking knew it was a bad idea when I fell for the hype and bought the damn thing in the first place.

Yeah, I'm not gonna dispute that, but it is fine as a fallback option. Given you can get ZombiU for £20 if you look hard enough I'm okay with owning the gyppo version of a console that is very unlikely to become my main platform over the next however many years.

They really should have used the same blue boxes with the check for the features supported by the Wii instead of using dots. It only gets more confusing now.

Its supposed to be confusing. Good marketing but yes, desperate.Hard to see who theyre trying to con though as former wii owners will see through it since they`ll know it does online etc.

Enjoying punchout a lot! Its weird how I know someone with all nintendo games ever on a pc, psp, xbox, probably other stuff, yet I would never have thought of playing this since I never owned it when I had a real nes. Same with balloon fight although I have it on 3DS but its another I never played originally.

I have to say that I'm as pissed off about the slow release schedule as the next man but I am surprised some people are ditching their consoles. Sounds a bit like when people tear up their season tickets when their teams playing badly.

You must have known that Nintendo have done the same thing many times. You must also know that its clear no matter how bad things are looking there WILL be a good number of AAA games and there are games starting to trickle out now (thank god) that are looking very good. Monster Hunter, NFSMW and Lego within a week is like Nintendo wheeling out the defibrillator and if FEELS GOOD. Sure, some people may feel there is nothing for them on it but it would just seem to me that it was the wrong machine for you in the first place.

I look at it in waves. I had great fun with launch wave of Zombie U, Nintendoland and NSMBU. Now I am going to have great fun with Monster Hunter and Lego Uncovered for the next few months. That keeps me pretty happy. I have got a PC to play Dishonoured and Tomb Raider on which fills in all the gaps. Kind very happy with my gaming puzzle at the mo.
