Nintendo Wii U

It didn't really work for me, the washed out look of a lot of GBA titles and the lowres graphics weren't too pleasing on the eye when blown up to television size. You also had these borders IIRC, because the resolution and/or aspect ratio was off or something. I never really used it, as I really preferred just playing the games on the GBA / SP. It wasn't the 'turn your GameCube in a SNES' peripheral I was hoping for.

If the WiiU came with an extra slot next to the Wii SD card slot for playing DS games I'm fairly certain a great deal more kids would be nagging their parents to get one. But then I suppose its a generation too late. Advertising it as playing 3DS games when you cant ( unless you could with a 3d tv ) play them in three dee would seem reductive.

http://gaijingames.c...an-release-date EU Release for Runner 2 Wii U is looking to be mid-April at the moment.

Glad I didn't wait, but I'll probably still get the Wii U version when it comes anyway. Nintendo's D-Pad is best for this type of game.

FFS. How long can it take to rate a game like this, it's hardly going to be brimming with sex and violence... stupid beauracratic bullshit.

275 for premium inc Nintendo land plus 40 for mario = 315

Anywhere doing if much cheaper or anywhere close to this on the high street.?

Nintendo Land shines in multiplayer. There's a surprising amount of depth to the games. I'm rubbish at them but the missus is pretty good at Balloon Fight and Donkey Kong's Crash Course.

I have been addicted to Donkey Kong's Crash Course recently. It is typical Nintendo fare in that appears fairly straightforward but reveals depth the more time you put into it.

I am regularly tossing myself off edges now to land back on my wheels for shortcuts all over the place. Got my time for stage 1 down to the mid 50 seconds. It is amazing how much better you get with practice, even though it doesnt feel like it.

Still havent managed the final stamp either.

Ok here's how it is...

2 fucking hours of updates and trying to connect to my Virgin wifi I'd completely unacceptable. Way to piss the off early adopters.

However everything from mii creation to the quality of the materials in the hardware to the gorgeous colourful visuals is absolutely spot on.

The Wiiu is an absolutely fantastic bit of kit which will completely shine for all of the nintendo games released on it. Nintendoland looks gorgeous.....

Love it. Ready for the games now please, particularly wind water hd strangely enough. Can't wait to play that with my 7 and 13 year old they will love it and my 3 year old will love watching it.

Is yours a Virgin superhub? There's a noted problem with Wii Us and Virgin routers, loads of people in here were stung by that.

Yeah unfortunately..... Fixed in the end, the had to give it a fixed ip and a specific dns server wtf....

My wife hates console gaming.

Just spent a couple of hours with my eldest daughter on mario, with the wife controlling the platforms etc......absolutely superb.

I knew there was a reason i always buy nintendo consoles. More fool me for doubting them this time around.
