Nintendo Wii U

afaik - the only game that actually does that is NintendoLand... It seems as though Mario does it, but it doesn't.. it's just that the jingles sounded more jingly coming out of the pad... and there is also a tiny little lag.

of course I'll be ridiculed for looking forward to a Lego game on the WiiU, but Eurogamer thinks its good.

If NEG is NDF it must stand for Nostalgia Defence Force.

I was hoping the smiley was going to be enough to show I wasn't being serious JP (apparently not though as I attracted a couple of joyless negs yay) - it was just a, poor, reference to the fact that anyone who appears to find something positive to say about the Wii U right now (particularly with regards to the GamePad) gets labelled with the old 'NDF' tag virtually instantly.

NEG - I know that ZombiU has an option in the menus to change the sound output - you can choose between (iirc) Mix, all TV, all GamePad (for headphones).

I didn't neg you.

Christ, twist the knife in further why don't you ;)

Oh wait...you didn't neg me...I'm not used to that...I'm not sure how to respond. +1!

EDIT: LOL this is getting amusing, because not only are (a suspiciously exact same number of) people negging me for throwaway posts, but somebody has actually also gone to the trouble of negging JP's post above to remove the +1 I gave it. Slow. Hand. Clap.

Decided to order one of those £225 Nintendoland premium bundles from zavvi. I was going to get a Wii U at the end of the month for Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate anyway and I can't see it being any cheaper than that for a while. Also ordered NSMBU and Zombie U. How much redeemable star points do the premium pack and each game come with? I think I'm close to having enough points for that Wii SNES controller.

That looks kinda interesting. I'm assuming eShop titles come with off-TV play as standard if they don't use the gamepad for anything else?

There's no rule that it does or must.

That was the worst use of a touchscreen.

I never realised you could touch it! I didn't think to try.

What are the must-have eShop games?

Personally, although obviously tastes vary - Trine 2, F-Zero (30p!), Runner 2, Nano Assault Neo

Lots of people seem to love Might Switch Force, but I've not played it so can't comment on that one at all. Zen Pinball also seems to get good comments from people that like that sort of thing (again, not my cup of tea).

I've got Mighty Switch Force on the 3DS. It's quite good, but not really special (IMO) and definitely more suited to a handheld methinks.

I certainly got my money's worth out of it, but played it exclusively on the gamepad.. There were always bigger and better things to play when the TV was available.
