Scott - I am using unblock-us and have changed the DNS. I can load up the netflix page on the browser but it won't play anything and for some reason I can't find the netflix app in the store. May be because its not launched here in Aus.

The Netflix app ships with the UK WiiU preinstalled on the OS. If Netflix is not available in Aus yet I guess thats the source of the issue.

The web app won't work becuase it needs silverlight which I don't think the WiiU browser supports.

How the hell do you have separate game saves for each users?

I've not played on the Wii U for awhile and when I loaded up Mario my save was further ahead than when I last played it, so I signed out and logged in another user only to find the save files were the exact same!

What happened to this?

The overnight Nintendo Direct webcast brought a lot of new information...

One of which is that each Wii U console will support 12 different user accounts. Your game settings and save data will be linked to your Wii U user account

What's the point of having 12 profiles if you've got to share 3 save slots?

The capability is there. Each game can have a "save" for the system and saves for each Mii. You'd expect developers only to use the system save for things like unlocked characters in Tekken and the like. I don't know why Nintendo have used their standard system.

I finished Little Inferno yesterday. I really enjoyed it, took about five hours to do all of the combinations.

It's worth the sale price.

No. That's the whole point of having your own profile.

It sounds like a pain to me. If three save slots isn't enough, having more save slots would be a better solution.

Looks like it depends on the game. Sonic seperates the game save by profile.

Silly question this maybe, but If I have a UK PAL Wii U, and have money loaded into the account and move to the south of Ireland I'll still be able to buy/download software from the eShop. It's not going to spaz out and say it needs to be Euro, or anything?

Not sure where to mention this but if anyone is still after some Wii games to play on their new shiny WiiU's.. ShopTo have Sin and Punishment going for under £9 delivered at the mo.

They also have a bunch of WiiU stuff with anything from £5-£15 off. Just got Nintendoland and S&P for £25 thanks to using all the points I had from getting the console with them.

I live in Japan. I'm currently visiting family back in the UK (where I've bought my Wii U) and was wondering what I need to buy to plug it in back in Japan without it exploding and burning my apartment to the ground (or just frazzling itself)?

You can just get a JP power supply and plug it in, same with the Gamepad though I've no idea if you'll be able to buy them over there. Ask Nintendo support, they tend to deal with these things.

Isn't Japan 110V? In that case you need a stepdown or a new powersupply. Note that the thing is region locked, so you won't be able to buy Japanese games for it.

Yeah, I'm aware that it's region locked. My knowledge of kanji isn't good enough for me to buy a Japanese Wii U. I made that mistake with the 3DS. If it's just a case of buying a JP power supply at my local electronics store then that's lovely.

Little Inferno is oddly compelling, just sat there for over an hour lobbing stuff into my fire.

There really isn't much game there but its all so charming and nicely done, its a very nice distraction from the usual game/goal objective kind of thing.

It's a toy, that's why. Treat it as a toy and its great. Try to play it was a game and you'll find it shallow and short.

Oh yikes, fair enough. I downloaded the Pal version of SMB3 via the WiiU and hadn't seen borders like it since 1993.

I should explain, I have a US Wii with various games on that I wouldn't mind moving over. Doubt it'd work anyway, was just curious.
