Nintendo Wii U

Does it matter if I don't actually buy anything via eShop, etc? I don't mind losing save games as I only have Nintendoland and Mario Bros.

If not, then

Facepalm indeed. Have you only just hatched? The internet was going crazy about nnid's being tied to consoles only three weeks ago. I'm afraid it sounds like you'll need to think up a new nnid.

There is no upscaling. Graphics will look a bit sharper though, wot with HDMI rather than analogue.

Not in my experience, looks just the same to me. Which is a shame.

Though don't listen to me, I think the WiiU version of Sonic Allstars runs the same as the 360 version.

I was a bit surprised to find out that Panorama view thing is going to be a full price disc. I would've thought it'd be a free app to download.

I too am surprised to find out from you that Panorama view is going to a full price disc. I would have thought it'd be an eshop title for a few pounds.

Has anyone mentioned the bundles in Game recently? I see they are doing a Premium Nintendo Land pack with SMBU, AC3, BLOPS2 and Zombie U (Plus some case and stylus set) for £350. That seems decent, does it not?

Just a bit.

Either you didn't read the advertising properly or you wrote this a bit weird.

For clarification, It's one game from the choice of four.

My 007 Legends was shipped today. With a large amount of negativity surrouning all versions, i've lost a bit of excitement. I am actually going to give it a go now (nearly didn't) some guy has 5 campaign videos on youtube, i think i'll enjoy it for what it is (rather than what it could/should of been) but we'll see.

Not played a FPS On a modern console for a while, so i'll probably be more forgiving due to that, we'll see.

How the hell do you have separate game saves for each users?

I've not played on the Wii U for awhile and when I loaded up Mario my save was further ahead than when I last played it, so I signed out and logged in another user only to find the save files were the exact same!

What happened to this?

The overnight Nintendo Direct webcast brought a lot of new information...

One of which is that each Wii U console will support 12 different user accounts. Your game settings and save data will be linked to your Wii U user account

Played with the Wii U all of last night and my first impressions are really good. Nintendo Land has some great little mini games, It was only me and one other though and it felt like a lot of the multiplayer games would work better with 3 or 4 people using Wiimotes. Particularly the Pikmin game which was a lot more fun on the gamepad than as a lone Pikmin. Also in Mario Chase the Yoshi bots just speed after a single toad and it makes it a lot easier for the Mario. I can see them being really awesome with extra players but it's a lot of expensive remotes to buy.

What I spent most of the night playing was Sonic All Stars. With Broker on the TV and myself on the gamepad we just played through the single player mode with a screen each. It seemed such an obvious feature but I still didn't think we would be able to do it until we got playing. If this console focuses on offline multiplayer experiences where the main campaign of a game can be played simultaneously by two people as standard then I can see myself really loving it.

As for the console, as I suppose people have mentioned plenty of times the gamepad screen is a much better quality that I had anticipated and the TV remote feature is a fantastic idea (I couldn't believe how easy it is to set up) and although I was taken aback by the size of it initially it occurred to me it's still smaller the PS3 or Xbox 360. After a night with it I have pretty high hopes that some really fantastic, unique software can be made for this. :)

Ok so I have a Wii U set to euro/Aus and want to use the US TVii. I have my VPN set up on it but it won't let me access the US TVii.

Any hints or suggestions about what to Di to access it so I can do netflix on my Wii u

US TVii won't work as you have to have a US machine to get the update

The Netflix app however should work on the US servers if you try altering the DNS

Change the WiiU DNS to these

Primary - 109.123.111.24

Seconday - 190.14.36.90

These are the Playmo TV settings that still work for free for now.

I've not tried this mind as I have UK Netflix on the WiiU and US on my PS3 but it should work in theory...
