Rayman legends demo is epic. Can see why they avoided mario but oh my word is it good

castle rock is a lovely clever and awesome curio but the other two levels show off a hugely entertaining game designed and honed to perfection

its been a long time since a demo made me go from not interested to wanting to wave my cash at somebody - knowing nothing about the game was disappointed to look it up and see its not out til march.

castle rock is fabulous, not sure it has much replay value but if the game is that wedged with inventiveness it will be a good un - the other 2 levels are lovely, don't think I've seen a better looking 2d game, but after a quick play still don't quite see it as a mario killer, but maybe the full thing will be.

You mean FUCKING POINTLESS. I still need a remote for my receiver, which the Wii U can't replicate, which turns my TV on and off anyway.

Same boat here, i guess it's nice that turning off my TV turns off the receiver as well so it can turn everything off. But without having a way of changing the inputs on the amp it's not quite as useful as it could be. It's not inherently impossible for nintendo to fix this though as it's just another IR receiving device but far more bespoke controls would be required. Ho hum

It'll still be shit though, nothing will save that train wreck of a game.

Sure things like lack of weapons hurt it, but the real trouble was the boring enemies that just endlessly respawned and didnt require anyting by hammering the a button to kill.

Well the article says they've increased the difficulty level and gone back to 2's style of combat and removed the qtes. So, ya know, it's something.

Anyway, back to the Wii U, if seems that Ninja Gaiden 3 has been given a complete going over on the Wii and is now worth getting.

The review I read (ONM? Can't remember) said that despite the inclusion of a naked Kasumi, it was actually worse than the other versions.

Probably because they've made it too hard for them.

I think you vastly underestimate just how shit Ninja Gaiden 3 was. I struggle to see how anything short of throwing it away and releasing an entirely different game and pretending the original never existed would salvage it.

So, I'm brand new to Mass Effect 3 - although I played the first two on the Xbox.

I just want to know, the Wii U 'special edition', does it have the 'new improved' ending, and if so, do you just skip the original 'we're unhappy with this' ending?

Or is there some weird download it in a update DLC or anything I need to know/do first?

It has the extended cut endings and also the From Ashes mission (which given it gives you the best character in the game really should have been in the original as default) on the disc.

The ending didn't actually change just so you know - they just fleshed them out a bit and corrected a few of the bits that made no sense in the original version - the actual thrust of the ending is the same.
