You deffo can't buy them outside that window? If that's the case there's no way it will stay and points even more to a cock up somewhere in the set up.

There's no way publishers would stand for that on the estore. It'll change soon I reckon.

Nope, thought I'd try to buy ACIII at 3:05 a couple of nights ago, and bang, content restricted when you so much as click on the title of the game.

Nintendo already have a big task of encouraging third parties to bring games to the wii u and this silly watershed rule is surely going to impact on EU sales thus third paries with 18+ content are going to think twice about putting stuff on the eshop. Its going to reinforce the idea that wii u is the go to machine for family friendly content only.

I've taken back my unopened wii u back for a refund when I heard about this.

I know you think I'm mental... But really... NSMB2 is really good as well!

But it's not a patch on Mario U. The sheer variety of great ideas and level designs ( secrets especially ) set U far apart from NSMB2, which by comparison feels flat and slightly stale.

I did not take it back on the strength of just one thing it was a number of things, worrying lack of third party support (wheres dark souls 2 for wii u), lack of analogue triggers on gamepad, im not going to get the full potential out of nintendo land as a solo player, digital games tied to one console then this silly watershed rule..

I'm going to be a one console owner next gen and will see what ms and sony have to offer next year and if nintendo show improvements then I'll pick up a wii u again the potentially take it back for a refund again.

seriously?

You are aware that of course there will be Nintendo games on the thing as well... so, I'm assuming that by going one console only and having already ruled out the WiiU (without even having used the thing!!) means you've ruled yourself out of playing...

The next Mario Galaxy game

Metroid

Zelda

F-Zero (I reckon it's a given that this is coming given its inclusion in Nintendoland)

Pikmin

Monster Hunter

and - given it's more 'core' focus - probably 1080 and Waverace as well...

Smash Bros

etc etc etc

To think, you'll never experience the wonderment that is MiiVerse. It's like the 'anti-rllmuk'.

This gets a huge amount right, it even convinced my CoD loving 15y old son to declare Nintendo Land as 'awesome' over the weekend, which it is, best collection of mini games I've played. Something he won't be admiting to at school of course today though.

Its also got the best Mario game since the snes days for me too (though I can't quite explain why)

Has got some horrible clunky wrongs though, mainly the os thing, why the hell do demos take 6m to install (FIFA), why do game patches seem to have to be applied a couple of times and the whole internet superhub connection thing.

Overall though love it and had a great weekend with Mario and Nintendo Land.

I've not played most wii first Nintendo games, I've not played Sonys first party and I'm fine with it. I don't get much gaming time but I still get through a number of games. The off screen play really drew me to the wii u but I want there to be a good stream of games from mulitplatform stuff to exclusive games. I may pick one up down the line if things change but it does not look good.

EDIT: was it not you who said there were some snes games or n64 that you never played?

I didn't have a snes - because we were too poor to have two consoles. I had a megadrive instead. So there.

N64 was the first Nintendo console I owned.

Get yourself on the VC and download the nes and snes classics your Nintendo clouded mind will explode. My recommends are pilotwings, shadowrun (not sure it's on there). Super Mario kart, super Mario world, all the zeldas except for Zelda 2.

It's up to yourself - but I don't understand you. But machine. Don't use. Read stuff online. Sell.

It's just a little odd.

And your not odd at all right? Anyway I'm going work now put down your popcorn people entertainment is over.

Why do people keep saying its a ridiculous 'decision' Nintendo have made about the watershed thing?

It really sounds like a slip up. That this will not be reversed once the problem filters through?

Were there any age restricted items on the Wii or 3DS Store no? There was a resident evil demo which must have an older rating.

I think it's been like this for a few days now...
