I'm not sure how phrase this and it may be better placed in the NSMBU thread but here goes...

I love Mario 2d from super Mario world etc etc... Really love them.

I like 3d mario alot like galaxy sunshine etc etc ... not as much as i loved 2d mario but in the same ball park

I hated NSMB with a passion, I played it on wii and I hated it, it was not 2D Mario to me in any way shape or form. It was shit.

NSMBU has the same art style and so I only bought it purely cos I felt it was mad to pay 350 for a zombiu machine :) I didn't buy it cos of dekay or scottcr or any of the other swivel eyed Nintendo loons.

Aaaaand ... It feels like old 2d Mario. It shits all over modern 2d Mario from a massive height. The feel and everything reminds me old classic 2D Mario. I cannot overstate my hatred of NSMB on Wii enough but this is sublime, a gorgeous 2D Mario that feels like an old 16bit game wrapped in modern HD super grafix!!!!!

I'm start

The most recent update just downloaded in the background by itself for me, while my console was off. I didn't do anything.

Well I've left mine on while playing Mario and it didn't update. Since posting earlier I've also tried doing it manually multiple times, each taking about an hour to download the update before failing to install at about 30%. It's great because it just says an error occurred, no error code or anything helpful.

So I thought that I'd chuck my newly acquired copy of Nintendo Land in to play that before I try updating tomorrow. It tells me an update is available but I need to update the system before I can download that and launch the game. What a shower of shite, I wish Nintendo hadn't bothered with the internet if this is the best they can manage.

On Nintendo Land, how do you unlock level 2 of Crash Course? I've beaten Level 1, but I've no option to play anything else.

Beat it again, I think.

I've only managed to beat it once by fluke so far, can get to area 10 easily every time but its that last drop that gets me :(

Seriously? It's rock hard and they make you beat a level twice to get to the next one? Bastards.

Wii U targeted at hardcore gamers confirmed.

It's really tricky initially, but I've found that once I work out an area, I can do it almost every time.

After saving the princess, I went and did the first level again, only losing one life I think.

Ace little game. I get a Kororinpa vibe from it with the sound effects, and obviously the tilting.

I know you think I'm mental... But really... NSMB2 is really good as well!

I can't believe they haven't learnt from Xbox Live, and the size limit on game updates. Even major dashboard updates from Microsoft don't take that long, and I haven't got ninja Internet speeds either.

I've had it... I can't just sit there and watch my favourite games company being such utter fuck ups. They've come close before - but this is absolutely the daftest thing ever.

They're obviously implementing some 9pm watershed stuff based in Germany which means anyone west of Germany is getting even more shafted,

Sort it out Nintendo. Seriously... This is a joke

I'd be really interested in knowing how such a ham fisted decision was made. Maybe it'll come out in the next few days and weeks if enough journos kick up a stink.

On a related note it's always amazed me how Nintendo don't 'get' the European industry and specifically the UKs role in it. We might not be the biggest buyers (though we must surely be near the top?) but Im more interested in soft power. And in that regard we have a massive reach. Sony has long understood this, ms now too but Nintendo, not a clue. Baffling.

Their European operation has massively improved over the past 10 years though. It of course still trails behind by some way.

I strongly suspect the watershed thing is just an administrative balls up that will come out in the wash. Such a decision would be generally crazy.

Also in don't think it stops you playing an 18 rated game say. Just stops you streaming the video ? I guess as parental controls can stop you playing 18 rated games but it can't distinguish between the vids?
