Yes, that's exactly what I said.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Doesn't mean you have to act like an arsehole when you express it.

Going back to your earlier point about Neogaf (couldn't remember how far back the post is), they also tend to ban people for almost anything so it is hard to find an inbetween with the two forum approaches to moderation. If you see something really bad though, feel free to report it.

As a game, I think it's a lost opportunity. It'd have certainly been my version of choice, but like most top quality non-Nintendo software, the publisher probably doesn't think it's viable on one of their consoles. So we begin another cycle.

It's quite worrying that there a lot of mulitplatform titles missing from the wii uschedules. Where's Gta v, far cry 3, dark souls 2?

Just playing Assasins Creed III at the moment, and im sure this has been covered in the relevent thread, but its one of the weirdest games I've ever played.

There is lots to like, it looks gorgeous, the setting and story are interesting (if a little over complicated and a bit daft at times), the free running and combat is polished and fun, as you'd expect from an AC game. But the missions are mental, it's mostly just walk here press A over and over again and I've never seen a game with so many cut scenes. There will be a cut scene, then you gain control again, walk through a door and another cut scene will kick in. Plus the continuity is all over the place. For example, I just walked up to a character to start a mission and he says 'good evening', then the cut scene will trigger and the first thing he says is 'good morning'.

And companions, a lot of the time I don't know why they are with me, they don't seem to do anything and they just disapear midway through a mission.

I could go on for ages and a lot of these complaints are quite minor niggles and aren't spoiling my enjoyment of the game, it's just that there are so many of them. I've never seen a AAA game like this with so many weird problems and errors.

It does look great though and I'm enjoying playing it on the gamepad when the telly is being used. Worth getting I think if you need another game for your new WiiU, just be prepared to be confused.

Think I might trade in nintendoland for Darksiders today.. No friends makes nintendoland kinda boring.

(I have friends, but they're not allowed to come round and play often)

You need to invite them over for tea. Or to do homework together, then your mum will get it.

As someone mentioned upthread, Super Wii would have been a much better name.

So I don't know if any of the ordering shenanigans is frowned upon now that it's actually out but I have £250 worth of Xmas gifts to put towards this, anyone know the best bet? Realistically I don't want to bother with the basic pack and Amazon have the premium for £299, so that's looking the most likely contender.

Why is the ZombiU pack £419? That doesn't even seem to make any sense (brilliantly, there is a used one of those on sale on amazon for £550, wtf?)

I was in HMV earlier and every customer in the wii shop was saying they can't afford a 300 screen for their existing wii. They were quite shocked when I explained it was a new console. Surely the advertising for it isn't that bad on TV?

Nintendo have totally ballsed it up. The advertising is terrible, the name and console design are too confusing and the average consumer is being left to work it out for themselves.

Terrible marketing all round, Nintendo are being their own worst enemy by not having sorted it in all the time they've had.

Third party seller (read: chancer), not Amazon

Yeah I know that's what it is, my wtf was more in terms of who do they think they're kidding, you'd have to be incredibly stupid to go for that deal.

I think the situation in the supermarkets is a massive cock up. Just think of all the kids that get dragged around supermarkets, they could be spending that entire time pestering parents about the WiiU and then said parents could actually see it in the shops. Instead of what probably happened with 3ds Layton, people stupidly buying WiiU games and then complaining they don't work on the Wii.
