Nintendo Wii U

I'm not doubting that you and others got the code. What I'm doubting is that ALL people who ordered the Premium console were e-mailed a code. I know I wasn't. And it'd be wasteful of Amazon to order that many codes. Surely they'd be able to identify the specific batch of consoles that had the game missing going by the complaints?

So, anyone with a Premium besides Super Craig and me who didn't get a code? Feel it's a bit of a shitty trick by Amazon not to email them to everyone when they know most of the ones receiving them also received the game!

Was checking my email to see if I had the code and was reminded that they also cancelled my order (days after accepting) for a Wii U for 199. Suppose I should have moaned about that to them, especially given the amount of money I throw at them every month.

You're moaning about not getting a code when you actually got the game? Riiiight

I know! Ridiculous. But when every other c**t got it supposedly...

The game is in the Wii U box by the way isn't it? Never even thought about that - wrapped it up for my little lad.

So, three seconds research on Google has shown me my idea that there was a black Wii U pack sans Nintendoland, that people were receiving instead of the Premium, was bollocks... and that the Premium box despite having Nintendoland plastered on the side, didn't actually have the game inside...

So, excellent. Bit late for me to complain now isn't it! :-D

I sent them an email, just asking why I hadn't received my code. They replied to tell me that I could order another copy and they would refund me.

I'd be surprised if anyone other than a handful of people got the codes. I think the confusion is down to shitty news sites just lifting things from forums without bothering their arse to check.

Still, I can't complain. Managed to buy a download code for £20 and trade in my disc for £30. So I'm up £10 and 420 Nintendo Network Premium points.

The moderation on the forum could be a lot better in that regard. Say what you want about NeoGAF, but when things get out of hand with fanboyism, the moderators do step in and sort things out. Contrast that to here, when you had a committee member bump an old sales thread when the UK Wii U sales numbers were getting talked about on the news sites. No attempt at discussion or anything. Just something along the lines of, "this should be interesting". Real helpful that.

Fuck that. What do you want people to do, step in and moderate people's opinions?

What a load of bollocks.

I'm sure this has already been covered, but I'm not adversely affecting the battery life of my Gamepad by leaving it constantly sat in the charging cradle when not in use am I?

No it wont make any difference. Even if does start to fade after a few years a new one should be quite cheap. Less than a tenner I would have though.

And my Wii U doesn't work - it doesn't power up or anything. And is the gamepad meant to rattle? Fucksakes, I'm not impressed.

...I like the ZombiU boxart.

EDIT: And the shopto helpline is Mon-Fri only. Which means I'm probably looking at Thurs next week before I can play ZombiU.

I hadn't noticed after a whole week of playing, but now you say it and I've given it a shake, yes, it rattles. My console turns on, though, so it's got that going for it.

Disappointed that Dark Souls 2 isn't coming to WiiU - the 'no pause' thing and working your inventory on the gamepad (as in ZombiU) would've worked really well.

As a game, I think it's a lost opportunity. It'd have certainly been my version of choice, but like most top quality non-Nintendo software, the publisher probably doesn't think it's viable on one of their consoles. So we begin another cycle.

It could still happen. The game was only announced last night so it's probably a while off release.

I'm tempted to go to Tesco and buy a Premium and just get a refund from shopto. The only problem with that is I already spent the £17 worth of points I got for the console on buying ZombiU.

If you don't find any in Tesco I've noticed Argos have quite a few instore now (but seem to be £10 more than most shops)
