Why isn't CoD on the eshop? Is that because of German laws? If there are stupid restrictions on games in te eshop because of that, then get the FUCK out of Germany Nintendo!

That's the German "Don't mention the war" law. I saw it in a documentary about a Torquay hotel where they had some over sensitive German guests.

On the subject of Nintendo Germany, I sent them a mail asking why there are large parts of Europe with no Club Nintendo. I choose Germany as that is their European HQ. 4 days later I got a reply saying I should contact my regional Nintendo distributor. In Finland. Despite me clearly writing I'm in Denmark.

And the reason I didn't contact the Scandinavian distributor is that the reason they ditched Club Nintendo years ago, was that it costs 0.05 £ per game for them to run. And point one on their FAQ is 'no, Club Nintendo is NOT coming back!'. How they can justify this shit I do not know.

So for me, Nintendo is massive failure regarding anything that hasn't got to do with games directly.

I've just never seen the appeal. To date the only type of actual multiplayer I enjoy is online co-op. RED ALERT 2 styleee. But, running around killing people in a big confined playground shooting each other with no story?

Pointless.

Then again that's just me. 80s gamer FTW.

(not to mention the advertisements!!)

I'm exactly the same. Spending an evening playing online FPS seems like a huge waste of time to me. You're in a lobby, it's taking forever. Finally you get into the level. You shoot people and people shoot you. You return to the lobby with a score and a ranking. Rinse and repeat. I find it boring as hell. The worst thing is that most people who are still online after the first few days know the maps by heart and have had so much practice, that you're lucky if you can get a few kills in in the first place.

The lovefilm app works pretty well. Switching screens has a 2-3 second delay but apart from that it loads quickly and smoothly and you can play videos on the gamepad. One minor issue is you can't stretch or zoom the screen, so 4:3 programs are 4:3 on the gamepad.

At least you got in, it wont accept my ID and password.

On Club Nintendo I've got 2950 stars but they can't be used for Nintendo points for the Wii U.

Please note: Nintendo Points can only be used in the Nintendo DSi Shop and Wii Shop Channel, and cannot be used in Nintendo eShop on Nintendo 3DS or Nintendo eShop on Wii U

Maybe this is why you can't get in.

What downloadable software or add-on content? And it's more than 24 hours since I set everything up.

Funnily i bought a few games. Perhaps 20. I played one more than 10 times. The others i certainly wouldn't have purchased had there been a demo available. Actually two games i played more than 10 times (toki tori and World of Goo). The problem with the wii shop wasn't the lack of demos or them only being usable 10 times, the problem was the games weren't very good.

I have 33 WiiWare titles, and 38 Wii VC games.

The problem with the Wii shop was that 99% of Wii owners didn't have a clue it was even there. And, IIRC, the fact that devs who got a game on there only saw any money if they sold over 40,000 copies of their game - which most didn't, as 99% of Wii owners didn't have a clue it was even there.

It's not really surprising it fizzled out.
