X-Men: Days of Future Past

The comments under that Variety article are sickening.

this is weird:

The plaintiff, Michael Egan, claims he was 17 when Singer forcibly sodomized him, among other allegations. Egan’s lawyers, led by Jeff Herman, allege that Singer provided him with drugs and alcohol and flew him to Hawaii on more than one occasion in 1999.

I read that "claims he was 17" part, and thought "I wonder why that reminds me of the elmo case?" because in that instance it seems the accuser had lied about his age in regards to a relationship that did exist with Kevin Clash, at some point. IIRC.

then I read this:

Herman is a sexual abuse attorney based in Boca Raton, Fla. who also represented the plaintiffs who accused Elmo puppeteer Kevin Clash of sexual abuse. He and Egan are scheduled to appear at a press conference on Thursday in Beverly Hills.

What's with young Xavier walking about, in parts of these trailers?

Supposed to be undergoing gene therapy that allows him to walk but takes away his powers according to a clip they played on Graham Norton. Gee, I wonder what will happen in the 3rd act.

Can't view it at work, is there any info other than him playing Gambit?

Nothing confirmed but he's expected in 'X-men: Age of Apocalypse' and will likely have several spin-off films to keep the x-Men franchise running as Jackman's inevitable retirement looms.

Here's hoping they find a role for Jonah Hill and they can continue their Jump Street romance but with powers.

If this means X-Men Origins: Wolverine never happened then I am okay with this.

My assumption from the moment this movie was announced was that Bryan Singer was planning to wipe out all the original movies with time travel, leaving only first class and this as canon?

Just back from seeing this and have to say it is every bit as good as the tremendous X2. Every character gets a chance to shine and with a bulging roster that is no small task. The look of the future stuff is nailed on and as different as they look from what we are used to the Sentinels of the future actually work really well.

It was really refreshing to see Wolverine take a slight back seat for the final moments of action as it added real weight to the other characters, especially McCavoy's Xavier who was excellent throughout. Best moment though had to be James Marsden's Cyclops re-appear in the alternate timeline to warn Wolverine away from Jean. Sets things up nicely for Apocalypse and I really hope we see Marsden as Cyclops again as his character plays off Wolverine so well.

A real return to form from Singer and pardon the expression but things look bright for the Apocalypse ;)
