Star Wars: The Force Awakens

I'll have reservations about him if the first two turn out to be brilliant and it's up to him to go out on a high.

For now, what's setting my alarm bells off is that three of the main characters are having their names withheld because they will turn out to be daughter/son of X/Y. Let's keep turning the galaxy into Ramsay St, eh? I really hope there's a story worth telling behind all this.

I'm sure it was his interesting debut feature Safety not Guaranteed that landed him the gig, not Jura$$ic World. In all fairness to LFL, they're just being faithful to their promise of returning to the spirit of the OT. Finishing with the shit one.

Can't wait to see a pic of the actual attraction with a quietly sobbing child holding a picture of the concept art up in front of it. Or something. Actually, I don't really want to see sad tears of childhood disappointment. They can build this for real right?

The interesting thing about the Luke/Vader fight is that neither really wants to injure the other yet holy shit, they go at it full on like a pair of lunatics in that first section before Luke finally wigs out and batters the poor old fella like it's going out of fashion. Comparitively, Vader's fight with Obi-Wan seems much more controlled and less dangerous, despite them both being intent on killing each other.

I wouldn't infer that spoiler from that image, any more than I would from similar images in Jedi.

I thought you were going to say it implies

she's Han's daughter.

It's more that

Harrison famously wanted Han killed off in Jedi, but George wanted to sell toys. He had script approval to come back for this.

Han is reportedly a lead character in this movie, as opposed to Luke and Leia's smaller roles. It's also been said that a clause of his contract was to get another Indy movie off the ground in the next few years.

I'll be shocked if he makes it through this. That picture is just a little more fuel on the fire.

I'm going to put this whole post in spoiler tags even though I think it's a bit ridiculous, as speculation isn't spoilers.

It's a bit of a stretch to say that image "implies" that particular spoiler. I think if the idea of Han dying wasn't already firmly planted all of our minds, due to the thing about him wanting it in RotJ, then we probably wouldn't look at that image and think "holy shit, what if Han dies?". I mean, all of those three characters dying is a possibility in this new trilogy isn't it.

Anyway, can we quickly decide if speculation based on barely anything really needs to be spoilered? I mean if someone doesn't even want to think about something that might happen in the film, surely they shouldn't be reading the thread. So, I'm asking whether this is necessary:

Maybe Han dies?
