Star Wars: The Force Awakens

So when can we expect the full trailer, November, or early December?

It's pegged for an Autumn debut, so anytime from September to November. Apparently nothing new will be shown at D23 this weekend.

When The Phantom Menace trailer got a limited release in cinemas across the US and Canada, it was not uncommon for reports of people forking out for a ticket to the film the trailer preceded, and then leaving before the main feature began. Wouldn't work nowadays but would be kind of cool to first see the trailer on a really big screen.

It was attached to Meet Joe Black. Always wondered if those stories were true and if it had any affect on the opening weekend of Meet Joe Black.

Edit: no figures or analysis of the effect, just hyperbole really, but it was two other films as well: http://www.denofgeek.com/movies/star-wars/33108/how-the-phantom-menace-teaser-trailer-became-a-cinematic-event

I'm with you on not wanting to see more but also do not think I'd be able to resist the urge to watch a full trailer. Thinking on it though, plenty of films have had 'wow' moments spoiled by trailers, so going in dark would raise excitement and anticipation levels to an almost uncontrollable level.

I've seen a few Star Trek films and they were all fucking boring. JJ made Star Trek was fun and exciting.

Disclaimer: I haven't seen the second one.

The second one was also fun and exciting, albeit marginally less fun and exciting than the first one:

It's amazing how noisy the 13% who didn't like it have been since 2013, to the extent that it now seems to be commonly accepted that Into Darkness was the worst film ever.

EDIT: Note how anyone who tries to express a personal opinion about a Star Trek film which doesn't tally with the noisy nerdy minority's gets a swift negging to show them how wrong they are.

Star Trek shouldn't be a brain fart experience. Excitement didn't mean either of the films had any value towards the values of Star Trek.

Not that there haven't been brainfart Trek movies in the past, a fair few of them have been. But the new films have brought in nothing of real significance. JJ himself not being a Trek fan just shat(ner) on anything resembling originality.

That lack of originality is what I fear when it comes to these new Star Wars films. You can have all the sock puppets you want rather then CGI, if it's the same old crap for the sake of dollars I don't care.
